A Russian warplane dropped a bomb on an apartment block in the Georgian town of Gori on Saturday, killing at least 5 people, a Reuters reporter said. The bomb hit the five-story building in Gori close to Georgia's embattled breakaway province of South Ossetia when Russian warplanes carried out a raid against military targets around the town.

Dancers from the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe perform the "Thousand-hand Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva", or "Guan Yin" dance in Beijing on August 11, 2008. Founded in 1987, the unique troupe features a cast of more than 100 dancers and performers with physical disabilities, some who cannot hear and others who cannot see, including a vocalist with spina bifida.
