But Lescott and Toure, who cost £22million and £16m apiece from Everton and Arsenal respectively this summer, are not up to the job.
Everything is still wide open in our group. The next game is in London against Arsenal and it will be very difficult, but we should still think about qualifying for the next phase. This season the weaker teams have been creating problems for the stronger ones, and that is very healthy and good for the c...
There is nothing in the Premier League rules that says we can’t beat Arsenal or that the top teams will roll everybody over. Is there a win in us? Yes, of course. Is it on Saturday? I don’t know. Arsenal won’t win every game. I don’t subscribe to the view that they turn up here and we roll over on our b...
Defending the Arsenal - In an unstable Pakistan, can nuclear warheads be kept safe?
That's not enough and I would hate to finish my career having won only those here. I desperately want to win the Premier League and the Champions League with Arsenal and I truly believe that's possible.
I've spoken to Robin about it and it's all about what's best for the team,' Van Marwijk told the Daily Mail. There's a big chance that Robin is going to play as a striker for Holland from now on, as he's doing a fantastic job for Arsenal and we are not blind to this in Holland.
In the UK, with the exception of (Arsenal’s) Emirates and one or two smaller projects it’s pretty unusual ... Chelsea’s announcement has created a lot more interest.
I won it at Arsenal but we've not won it since I came here ... The guys here hate it when we lose out. For me this is a season when, hopefully, we can do it. Everything here is in place to do it.
For me, above everything, I want to win the Premier League, to go through 38 games and beat all these tough teams ... When you win the Premier League you're a great team. It's so hard to win the league now because there are so many good teams – Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tot...
I think Arsenal have good possibilities to arrive in first place
I think Arsenal have good possibilities to arrive in first place ... We can't think about Liverpool at this moment because they are behind, but Arsenal have a very good team and a very good chance to win.
Sylvan was always playing against Arsenal, whether Chris was injured or not ... He was left out purely tactically at Stoke.
We are too good to go down ... You can see in all the games we have played, besides Arsenal, we had fantastic games and we created chances. That luck is starting to show now and hopefully we can really keep this momentum going.
Wow. Now MY GIRLFRIEND has worn a West Ham basque while hosting the EMAs. What a day! I might revive Gandhi and ask if he wants to be mates. Yes I will be taking her to a game - West Ham Vs Everton. And, before it begins, no I won't be taking her up the Arsenal.
One bad day and you can lose against everybody. It's not one team better than the rest -- it's very close ... But Arsenal can go a long way in this competition.
Maybe we were a little bit underestimated at the start of the season ... A lot of people were talking about Arsenal not being good enough to be at the top, but we have done well so far in the Premier League and Champions League.
What I can tell you is that if Rafa had been at any other club, any other big club, whether it be Arsenal, Man United or Chelsea, he wouldn't be there because I don't think the supporters at those clubs are like Liverpool supporters.
I am coming to London to discuss a new two-year deal with Arsenal with whom we have a very warm relationship
He's fabulous player and very important for Arsenal. He was involved in nearly everything but they have many players who really don't need many chances to score.
Hamburg will be very much on the front foot — they will come and try to break us down, so that will be the test for us ... I said before our games against Arsenal [in the Champions League play-off] that you can’t take on a team of that quality with open, expansive football, because they’d go and beat yo...
But in front of goal we weren't able to do much. It was the first time that Koeman lost to Arsenal in six matches dating back to 2003. In 2007, Koeman was manager of PSV Eindhoven when it eliminated Arsenal from the first knockout round of the Champions League. I don't think we'll qualify for the Champi...

I knew they were strong even before they beat Liverpool. Arsenal defeated them 1-0 but I think Fulham deserved to win. Fulham defend well and are quick to counterattack. I expect them to play like that in Rome.
