“We’re looking forward to going up to West Virginia and compete against a great football team. We’ve had a great long-standing rivalry with TCU, and we’re looking forward to them being members of the Big 12.” Baylor coach Art Briles is excited about...
Baylor's exercised a little bit of upward mobility in recent years, and at least one media flap didn't earn Art Briles any friends. Baylor's rise has ruffled a few feathers, so Briles becomes an option on this poll. Beyond that, though, I think the Big...
Baylor coach Art Briles, right, laughs as Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III shows off his Barney character socks during a news conference where Griffin announced that he will skip his senior season to enter the NFL draft, Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012,... View Photo »
Honestly, we felt like he was good the other night
Couple the loss of Griffin with the graduations of the most productive wide receiver in the school's history ( Kendall Wright ) and a 1,500-yard, 240-pound battering ram at running back ( Terrance Ganaway ) and it becomes clear that Art Briles has a...
His Knights were just 11-3 two seasons ago, but how quickly things can change in a season. They went 5-7 but O'Leary would like to avoid any such funk again. It has been a tough two seasons for the Spartans though they did make major improvements in...

Never would I have thought that we would have that many rushes in a game with Art Briles' offense
That is, unless you’re thinking about Robert Griffin III’s feet. The Heisman Trophy winner was a precision passer and a nimble and fast runner, as well. The Bears certainly did not need to rely on a running back to generate the offense. That might not...

Never would I have thought that we would have that many rushes in a game with Art Briles' offense
He just had concussion-like symptoms and so he's fine ... We're thankful that Robert's OK.
I'm already hearing Ole Miss is going to pursue Art Briles; I don't blame them. If I wanted to turn around a program, I'd pursue him, too.
We're in a war ... Sometimes in a war you get casualties.
We’d run it pretty effectively the first half, also, so that gave us a little confidence going into the second half
Terrance isn’t concerned about any of that. He’s a great team player
He’s a very mature person. The thing that makes him unique is his agility to go with his size
He’s 100 percent cleared and ready to go
There are not many 242-pound backs in the nation who have the agility and speed that Ganaway has
He had concussion-like symptoms. He's fine now. The doctors said he is OK. He is cleared. He is 100 percent ready to go.
I think he's going to be fine ... It was really a tough deal because we did the right thing. We needed him on the field to win, but at the same time we knew his health was more important.
I think he has a slight concussion but will be OK and ready to go next week
These last four weeks have been pretty magical for us as a football team and the university
I’m just really thankful to be associated with these players we have on this football team ... It was just a resilient and determined effort. These guys are tough-minded people and we came here to win a football game. That’s been our approach all season, and it wasn’t going to change.
These last four weeks have been pretty magical
We’ve got great football players, we’ve got good people
He had a little trouble remembering what was going on
Our offensive line was just dominating ... There's not many 242-pound backs in the nation that have the agility and speed that Ganaway has.
We got in at halftime, he had a little trouble remembering what was going on ... We were going to be cautious because that's the right thing to do. Robert's a tough guy. He wanted to go. ... But he didn't need to go.
Phil (Bennett) and his staff have done a great job of game-planning, and we’re playing with a lot of confidence right now ... We’re really getting better defensively. We think we’re becoming a hot, pretty confident football team. If we can stay at this level and improve on it for the next two games, we’...
If you have a signature win, then what do you have in front of you? I certainly don’t feel like we’re through
Mike brings a toughness to the field ... He’s a no-nonsense person and football player, which we appreciate. It’s not like we have to wonder how Mike is going to practice or work in the weight room. You know he’s going to give maximum effort, and everybody around him better do the same or he’s going to ...
I thought we played with a lot of courage ... The only way you can have courage is to have confidence. I think it goes hand in hand. That, to me, is the most important aspect of the football game, the way our players approached it and the way they played, with that amount of courage.
His preparation has been better. And great preparation leads to great performance ... He's very deserving of any honor he gets.
