I feel as though I needed to get out of Aston Villa
He has found himself out of the team and whether that has had a positive effect, I don't know. It is a big season for him and it was nice he scored against Aston Villa. He is a good player but he's got to deliver on a regular basis the same as everybody else.
I could toss a coin and that could be my best chance of deciding who could break into the top four out of Tottenham, Aston Villa, Everton and Manchester City with all the money they have
There is Jermain Defoe (centre-forward for Spurs), Peter Crouch (can't get a game for Spurs), Bent (centre-forward for Sunderland) and Emile Heskey (can't get a game for Aston Villa).
I think he was excellent in the two games which he played. We've got to speak to Aston Villa but I'd love it if he did extend his loan.
Jack Miller, I bet you Notts County can beat Aston Villa!
At the start of October we were getting on a roll and people were saying 'crikey, you've got Tottenham coming up, Manchester United, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Everton'
Obviously you're representing your country on the field and off the field, and in training as well. That's a big part of it. It's no different to what you should be doing every day at Aston Villa - you go out there and play as well as you can and work as hard as you can.
We've got a lot of great English talent here at Aston Villa. The England manager does his research, he watches a lot of games and when there's a lot of English players he's going to watch [us]. For his part, Warnock says the prospect of playing his club football alongside other young England hopefuls wa...
It was not a good game for Gary against Aston Villa but he was not alone. For the second goal, Gary needed to ship it out for a corner and defend it from there, but it is gone now. The lad is a good player and you don't get where he's got to playing like that.
We won against Liverpool and Manchester United but we lost against Wigan and Aston Villa
That is important ... But we lost against Wigan and Aston Villa. This means every game is the same. It is always three points and we have to maintain concentration against Manchester United, against all teams. It was very difficult to beat Manchester, the match was very balanced for 90 minutes and it wa...
Chelsea did what we had to do ... We beat a very good team, the best opponent, but we know the season is very long and we have to maintain this. It’s very important that we won against Liverpool and Manchester United, but we have to remember we lost against Wigan and Aston Villa. That means that every g...
Man City will be right there, Aston Villa will be right there and looking to push the top four ... I think ourselves, the top four are very, very strong obviously and I think ourselves Villa and City will all be having a go. There’s no reason you can’t do it. It’s not impossible to do.
It has been very positive [since Aston Villa]
If we had beaten Gillingham last year, we would have got the £100,000 or so from playing Aston Villa which could have saved the club from going into administration. So we know the money that can be made out of the FA Cup and how important it could be for the club.
We will have the same squad which played against Aston Villa, with the exception of Lucas Neill and Johnny Heitinga who can't play because the rules of the competition, but with a bit of luck Tony Hibbert might recover from flu.
Yorkie moved from Aston Villa to Manchester United and did well for them.
Liverpool are no longer that far ahead of Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham.
Guy Whittingham, ex-Aston Villa and Portsmouth
The next two home games (against Aston Villa and Everton) could mean six points and that might change our season. The main plus is we are creating chances.
It’s been three big draws, Aston Villa, Everton, Stoke. If we can perform like that, we should have no problems
Kyle Naughton, of Tottenham Hotspur, and Andy Griffin, of Stoke City, were the full backs. In midfield, Marc Albrighton and Isaiah Osbourne, of Aston Villa, have drawn his attention, as has Jack Wilshere, the Arsenal tyro, and Hayden Mullins, of Portsmouth. Kevin Phillips, the Birmingham City veteran, a...
