We realized what a great accomplishment it was to get here. We're an Ivy League school here with three (Atlantic Coast Conference) teams who have more games and practice time than we do ... For us to score five goals against the number-one team in the country was big.
We always stand near her goal ... We’ve done it since Kim was in high school. It really is hard to watch sometimes, though. In the ACC championship game against Maryland, they were up 2-0 at halftime and wound up losing in overtime, 3-2. That was tough. As a mom, you really feel bad for your child.
In my brief tenure as head baseball coach, Bob and Carol have been loyal supporters of Maryland Baseball ... Bob and I share a vision for what we want Maryland Baseball to accomplish. One of my immediate goals is to qualify for the ACC Baseball Tournament every year, meaning we will have a chance of mak...
This meet will be great practice for the ACC Championships and NCAA Championships this winter
We're playing some of our best hockey after going through the ACC Tournament and the NCAA Regionals. We were pitted against some tough competition and that only brings the best out in you. So we're ready for the next challenge.
Mike and Roy have gone hard at each other on this one ... If North Carolina gets him, you can look and say, 'We'll, they're going to own Duke for the next three or four years.' If he goes to Duke, it levels out the playing field. He's so good that he could shape the race in the (Atlantic Coast Conferenc...
It is an unfortunate way to lose in the second overtime and on your own goal ... But I think leaving the ACC Tournament playing two really good teams, Virginia and UNC, certainly prepares you for the NCAA.
In terns of the competition, I think it was two great teams out there, two teams that always battle and always leave everything on the field ... It is an unfortunate way to lose in a second overtime. But I think leaving the ACC tournament playing two really good teams will certainly prepare us for the N...
I'm not going into this game thinking, 'If I have a good game, my Heisman (chances) will go up,' ... That's not on my mind at all. My main thing is trying to come out with a win and getting closer to landing in Tampa for the ACC Championship Game.
You never like to see someone leave, but now that he’s gone it’s given me the opportunity to get more carries, so I’m just taking it, putting it on my shoulders, and I’m ready to take it back to Tampa [site of the ACC Championship Game]
It would be sweet to go back home to Florida and play for the ACC championship ... Clemson is the place that I was always supposed to be at. There have been no regrets. No regrets at all.
I think it gives us a lot of momentum headed in to the ACC Tournament ... We worked really hard this afternoon to get this victory; we definitely deserved to come out on top.
It was pretty clear Virginia was willing to settle for a tie ... A tie right now is not the end of the world, but I felt like we had enough opportunities to win this game. . . . First, second or third [place] is not a big deal. We've got bigger fish to fry. The ACC tournament is going to be one congeste...
It's time to celebrate and refocus on Monday as we prepare for the ACC Tournament
This is a big meet this weekend and the men and women are excited about competing in the always tough ACC Championships ... Great competition brings out the best in an athlete. We've prepared well and for the most part are free of significant injury and illness. The men have a solid pack and that will h...
The City of Atlanta is a great partner and our league is truly excited to return for the 2012 ACC Tournament ... Playing in Philips Arena provides our teams and fans with a more traditional and intimate environment which will serve our league well. The ACC Tournament continues to be one of the most spec...
It could best be answered by the fact that Nate Collins looked like he made about 100 tackles today ... He was the ACC player of the week last year [against Georgia Tech] and it made sense to put him right back where he was. He confirmed that with his performance.
The attitude after (Virginia Tech) was that we missed a golden opportunity to maybe put ourselves in the front-runners for the ACC Championship game last year ... I think the loss Thursday really has motivated some people to go above and beyond the call of duty, to do a lot more than what they've been d...
Anytime you have a schedule where 30 of your 56 games are against NCAA Tournament participants from the year before, it's obviously a very competitive schedule ... Last year, the team had a lot of success in the non-league games. This year the key is to be more competitive in ACC games, with the first g...
As we look to move the Advocare V100 Independence Bowl to the next level, I am thrilled that we have reached agreements with both the Atlantic Coast Conference and Mountain West Conference ... We are extremely excited about our new relationships with the ACC and MWC and we look forward to a long partner...
The game ball goes to C.J. Spiller today ... He gave 100 percent on every play, and he is the first ACC player to get over 6,000 all- purpose yards. We are very proud of C.J. and his efforts today.
You do want to go to the ACC championship, so you wish that Georgia Tech beats Virginia Tech and they keep losing, things like that
This week is a huge game for our team and program ... We set a goal of wanting to compete for the ACC championship and we've gotten ourselves to the point where this game is meaningful along those lines. If we can win the game, we may have a chance. If we lose the game, we probably have no chance.
