Beckham was an above-average player who was pretty good with a dead ball. Thanks to a number of late 'come-ons', when he is well past his prime, he surpasses the great Bobby Charlton in the appearance stakes. Yet he doesn't hold a candle to Charlton's achievements or his outstanding ability. Charlton played his heart out over the whole of every game.

When you look at the final image you will associate it with the great team of 1968 with the likes of George Best and Bobby Charlton. Obviously they won the European Cup in blue so we hope we can walk in their shoes again with this kit as it's such a big part of the history of the club
Sir Bobby Charlton was a hero of my dad's and also of mine. I went to his soccer school when I was a boy. With him being a Manchester United legend I'm very honoured to be above him in the list and as close to him as I am.
