Prior to the 2009 season, Bobby Parnell knew that he was—by no means—guaranteed to make the Opening Day roster. Nevertheless, he worked hard and pitched very well in Spring Training, which him earned a spot on the 25-man roster. Full Article at Bleacher Report

He's probably the guy that we're looking the most at as far as a guy that can be transitional ... Bobby Parnell has relieved for us and has done a good job, and we're actually kind of struggling in that area. Every time we seem to get the eighth-inning guy, something happens.
