One imagines President Obama did the same when he heard about his Nobel
We had a lot that we were worrying about at the time ... To have that help available to us through Pro Bono Law Ontario, it just took one thing off of our plate.
Danke schon Berlin. Live is where this band lives. It’s all that counts... If you have given us this award I guess that’s what you’re thinking and it means a great deal to us.
With a team that includes Bono, Edge and Glen Berger, there was never a question in my mind that 'Spider-Man' would happen -- it was just a matter of when
I just want to think about this moment -- feel this moment that we're in this beautiful city of Berlin. Beautiful occasion to have been here
Having recently finished shooting 'The Tempest' with Reeve as the young prince, I am thrilled to cast him in an entirely different role as Peter Parker in 'Spider-Man,' ... When I first saw Reeve, he was performing with his terrific band Carney. The music of Bono and Edge requires an extraordinary talen...
Without him, and without his business, we just wouldn't be where we are today. It's his birthday today. Bill Gates is in the house
As champions of justice, Bono and Wyclef have brought the national spotlight to human rights violations, empowered local activists and transformed the lives of millions of people living in poverty from Port-Au-Prince to Darfur
This is a very special venue for this band ... So we have to make something very special happen tonight, and this is the song we wish we’d written. It’s a Bruce Springsteen song, so we’d like to ask him to come out here; it’s also a Patti Smith song, we’d like to ask her to come out here.
With a team that includes Bono, Edge and Glen Berger, there was never a question in my mind that SPIDER-MAN would happen - it was just a matter of when. I am delighted that Michael Cohl is making this a reality.
I love to see an outsized band like U2 behaving like they're in the kindergarten and just doing what you do with your first album -- taking it to the market, setting up your table, selling your wares, selling it out the street corners, giving out fliers ... I think selling out is when you stop believing...
With a team that includes Bono, Edge and Glen Berger (who co-wrote the book with Taymor), there was never a question in my mind that 'Spider-Man' would happen - it was just when
Thank you Los Angeles. Thanks to everyone watching on YouTube all over the world - seven continents.
OMG, Bono! I'm your biggest fan!
millions or maybe even billions of eyeballs watching us on TV ... It’s YouTube — it’s on Google — it’s very big.
And I'm not like telling what I had for lunch. I do like to give a quote of the day, or sometimes who I'm with, like with Bono the other night in Atlanta ... I have had to delete a few people, because I'm not interested in if your Macintosh broke or not.
Many have spoken about the need for a rebranding of America ... Rebrand, restart, reboot. In my view [Obama's promotion of the Development Goals], alongside the administration's approach to fighting nuclear proliferation and climate change, improving relations in the Middle East and, by the way, creatin...
I am honored to be able to give back to the legal community and the residents of Philadelphia by serving as an instructor during Philadelphia VIP's Pro Bono Opportunities Day ... I believe it is incumbent on all attorneys to support legal services organizations such as Philadelphia VIP by giving of thei...
I believe Mr Obama could well be a force for peace and prosperity – if the words signal action.
Are you going to pull up the photograph and stick it on the page? I've made sooooo many. Everything was a fashion mistake. When Bono and I met at school [Mount Temple Comprehensive in north Dublin] I was wearing Wellington boots, jeans and those Shetland jumpers most days. We went to a school that had n...

I think the virtual Obama is the real Obama ... and [I] think the man might deserve the hype.
Whether it's Bono shilling for AIDS dollars, Angelina and Madonna toting their African offspring, Gwyneth [Paltrow] and David Bowie declaring they are African, or Matt Damon and George Clooney rallying for Darfur, it appears that a new generation of philanthropists have taken up the 'White Man's Burden'
There's a sense in some quarters of these not-so-United States that Norway, Europe and the world haven't a clue about the real President Obama -- instead, they fixate on a fantasy version of the president, a projection of what they hope and wish he is, and what they wish America to be
Bono was looking for a different kind of location, a building that had ghosts in the walls and some kind of a sense of history
What’s happened over the last few years in Britain’s relationship with the developing world has been so inspiring to me
