Brad Lidge has become my favorite Phillies player this last year. I absolutely love the way he plays and the way he carries himself. I hope we Philadelphians treat him better than Houston did.

When you think of Astros closers, you think of Brad Lidge, Billy Wagner, Dave Smith, and myself
Lidge got hurt early on, and I told him, Brad, let me tell you something. If you end up winning here, you'll think this is the best place of all time,' ... Fortunately he got off to such a great start that he never heard boos. It would have been interesting to see how he would have handled that.
After [Phils' closer Brad] Lidge let that one guy get a hit, I covered my eyes the whole time he faced that last batter. I was scared to death. I only knew he got the final out when I heard the crowd roar. I was crying. Our whole section was crying. I'll never forget that moment. Never.
The trash talking is through the roof ... Guys start preparing months ahead for that league.
I'm starting to like it more and more ... I think it’s a playoff team. I do like the potential of it.
