I've been watching these guys make the same mistakes for 10 years. For me, there's only two players who get back and across to play fast bowling. That's Brendon McCullum and Ross Taylor. The rest put their front foot down the track and just about get their heads knocked off. I'd tell them don't hang you...

It's something we've definitely recognised but if you look at the actual line-up there's some real match-winners with the likes of Brendon McCullum and Ross Taylor, and Scott Styris brings a lot of experience ... So, while we don't have the rankings we'd like, I'd still back those guys to come in and do...
It's disappointing, obviously, in many respects but the fact is I can now concentrate on my roles of scoring runs and keeping wicket. I still have some fairly big goals I want to achieve for New Zealand, including the captaincy, and this has not changed that

Yes, it was IPL’s first day and it was a special knock but it is in the past, many months back and it has no bearing on Monday’s game against Royal Challengers, which is an experienced team. Yes I do know the conditions here having played for Knight Riders but we need to perform well
But the batsmen all boast pretty good statistics. Grant Elliott and Martin Guptill are averaging nearly 50 and Jesse Ryder, Ross Taylor and Brendon McCullum have had great seasons in the past.
I think if we could have got 250, the game would have been different. Kyle Mills and Shane Bond were brilliant, but unfortunately we didn't provide them enough runs

Losing Daniel Vettori before the toss today was a huge blow
