255 lbs. with good hands, Celek is a tough, physical player to take down. In 2009 he caught 76 passes for nearly 1,000 yards. After a down year in 2010, his numbers rose last season. It's clear, however, the offense was not clicking. If the Philadelphia...
He simply has too many skills to keep track of. But Vick was hardly at the top of his game in 2011, and with defenses getting faster, his signature asset is gradually losing its effectiveness. Between DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant and...

These last five games, they’ll show the true character of this team ... Whenever you’re facing adversity, whenever you’re facing a tough situation where you don’t know what the outcome is going to be, your true character comes out. Everybody can play when you’re up and when things are going well. But wh...
If the Eagles lose even just a few steps of speed on the outside, they suddenly become much more easy to defend and much less effective on the offensive side of the ball. A second pass-catching tight end to compliment Brent Celek would go a long way in...
The Saints' Marques Colston (10-97-4), the Chiefs' Dwayne Bowe (7-49-3) and the Chargers' Vincent Jackson (6-29-4) - all possible free agents - also had better numbers than Jackson in the red zone. The Eagles already have a pretty good red zone...
I almost didn’t put Matt Ryan on this list. After all, he’s been fantastic ever since the Atlanta Falcons selected him with the third overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft, and he’s coming off a 29-touchdown season. But quarterbacks—fair or not—are judged...

I just feel confident with the offensive line, with Brent Celek out there, definitely DeSean Jackson as well as Ronnie Brown, Dion Lewis ... I mean, we’ve got a lot of talented guys. Just getting them guys out of the huddle that’s the biggest thing, getting guys in the right places. That’s what we broug...
2011, Eagles tight end Brent Celek revived his NFL career by catching 62 passes for 811 yards and five touchdowns, ranking him among the top ten fantasy tight ends this season. But apparently his career turnaround wasn’t enough for Los Angeles Lakers...
Mike Wallace, Reggie Wayne, and Wes Welker—to name a few. With the exception of Wallace (who will almost assuredly be re-signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers), no one can do for the Eagles what DeSean Jackson does. He forces the safeties to play 20 yards...

If you’re winning games, all that stuff goes by the wayside
I've never seen a coach make a catch, throw a ball, make a tackle ... It just comes down to us executing. I don't care what plays they call. It's us 11 versus their 11. We need to come together as a team and play. That's it.
You never want to hear that ... I guess the fans are frustrated. They don’t know what to do. They pay a lot of money to come watch these games. We’ve got a talented team. And we’re not playing very well. Us players are putting a bad product on the field. We’ve got to pick it up.
When you're losing games, people get heated, and there's times when you have words with each other but you get over it
It’s embarrassing ... We’ve got to win at home, plain and simple. When you look at the schedule at the beginning of the year, those are the games that – we’ve got to win at home and then steal a few on the road. It’s been the total opposite for us. That’s something that we’ve definitely got to get fixed...
It was horrible ... We know how good a coach he is. We love him as a coach. But we as players have to put the product on the field.

I heard it. Am I happy about it? No. It's all us. All us players, not executing on the field
That's horrible. You know what type of coach Coach Reid is
You never want to hear it, and I know he doesn't want to hear it.
I've been around a lot of coaches and I told my brother you don't want to play for anybody else
They love me and my brother so much
We believe we can win with Vince at quarterback ... It’s not like we’re just going to go out there and lay down. The guy’s a great player and we’re going to go to battle with him. We’re excited to play this game against the Giants.
Vince is a great player, he’s a great leader ... The biggest thing about Vince is that he’s a winner. What he did in college, what he’s done in the NFL, if he’s out there, we have the utmost confidence in him, and we believe we can win any football game with him at quarterback.
