We have a couple of leaders I reckon might be ready, so I thought why wait? And instead of making a tough decision mid-year we could start fresh now. There are a few obvious candidates there with Brent Harvey, Drew, and Brady being in our leadership group, so I would say they would make a decision out of those three but then there is Daniel Pratt who is an exceptional leader as well. 
It was a very easy case to argue ... Brent Harvey was a unanimous choice by the match committee and (other) people I've spoken to - it's fantastic to have him on board
The only guy I think can step up and get a lot more than we have given him is Brent Harvey ... Last year only 5 per cent of losing teams got the three votes. So that is what has downgraded him in our prediction. He has tended to have had some really good games when they have lost.
Ablett has got his work cut out to win it, having missed so many games. Brent Harvey will be a popular winner because he's a solid contributor and we know how good Bartel is.

That's going to help the guys like Brent Harvey obviously around us to get the ball down to our forward line.
For me, seeing what Boomer has done . . . just his journey in itself, seeing him grow with his family and what he does with the younger guys and how he has grown inside the football club and outside the football club, we thought he was the best man for the job.
One of the biggest markers for me was the players were very keen for 'Boomer' to be their captain and Drew to be their vice-captain and for me that was a really strong indication
I have learnt the most from Adam, so it's good to have him there. I'll bounce some ideas off him. Even if he doesn't want me to, I will probably still ask him. I don't think I need to change too much. I've been in the leadership group for six or seven years now.
