I wanted urgency in our practice
Those minutes are hard minutes because he plays hard ... So, as a group, we’ll have to make sure we cover for that loss. Everyone just has to pull their socks up.
He’s so steady and poised
He's getting there ... I thought Jarome is finding his way here and that's encouraging. That's a good sign.
I thought the guys did a good job managing it. They had to play different sides from what they normally play ... Those two kids have played well and just carried it on.
We directed more pucks towards the net and our forwards did a good job of battling, getting it on net, winning those second and third battles off the initial shot
He’s playing with lots of confidence ... He’s a good, young player. He knows how to handle the puck and he’s smart with it.
We've worked hard at getting our game in order
Bysie was very effective for us
You know what? You’ve got to be really careful on that
Datsyuk is a Selke Trophy candidate almost every year, but he's one of the most skilled guys in the National Hockey League
I wouldn't say it's something that's been worked on since the beginning of the season
You know what, guys, it's so noticeable, it's scary
It's a tough one we've got to try to get through
It was surprising to me for this to happen
You can do as much as you want as a coach, as a staff
The last two games, he's been very, very good and we haven't played as well as we need to in front of him ... He's played outstanding.
We haven't scored a lot of goals 5-on-5 and we need to pick that up
We obviously have a ways to go and we gotta start climbing here and we gotta take it just a game at a time ... There's no easy games in the National Hockey League, and there's no easy buildings to play in the National Hockey League.
We obviously have a ways to go and we gotta start climbing here and we gotta take it just a game at a time ... There's no easy games in the National Hockey League, and there's no easy buildings to play in the National Hockey League.
Well, sure you worry about it ... And it's the line [with Mikael Backlund and Alex Tanguay], they're not producing offensively because they're spending too much time in their own zone. There's no short cuts.
Young guys haven't been instilled in the lineup just because we wanted to go with youth ... We're putting young guys in that can play. We feel it adds something to our team that we've been missing.
We've had a veteran team here for two years and missed playoffs and we're two games below .500 ... These young kids have come in and have been giving us what we want them to.
If you have some young guys around, it's good for me too. It seems like they're trying to give opportunity to young guys now. While young players naturally take their cues from veterans, Sutter would rather his 20-somethings not adopt the inconsistency that's plagued the Flames this season. Those guys h...
