View Photo »It's almost like having a 10:30 a.m. game on Sunday ... It's going to be a little different obviously.
Brian Campbell suffered a clavicle fracture and a rib fracture ... He will likely avoid surgery and we anticipate a full recovery. He should be ready to play in approximately seven to eight weeks.
Everybody fan-wise will say 'Ovechkin, Ovechkin, Ovechkin ... When you throw in (Mike) Green, (Alexander) Semin, and (Nicklas) Backstrom, they got a lot of weapons and a lot of offense. They got the No. 1 power play in the league. We're going to have to stay disciplined that game.

We talked about not turning over pucks ... In some areas we take too many chances. Against [the Kings], when we knew we could get the puck we went after it and pinched -- and when we didn't, we came back. And the forwards did a great job on the back check as well. We played a much better defensive game ...
Brian Campbell is one of the best skaters in the National Hockey League
All over the ice there have been areas we need to be better in — it has been going on probably about a month ... We have to give our goalies an opportunity to make saves instead of breakaways or back-door empty-netters. We have to take care of everything (defensively) first and then go on the attack aft...

Now it’s just a case of meeting with Larry the negotiator and meeting with the unions and seeing where they’re at ... We’ll talk about what the departments have asked for as a way of getting it done and we’ll see where we’re going from there.

We were a young team last year. A lot of younger players were going through it for the first time ... Now we're a year older, a year more experienced and a year better.
That's the pick we used to take him. It's a really hard thing to do, trade terrific players like Brian Campbell, but if you don't trade them, you don't have Tyler Ennis. Now you've got to find another way to improve your team.
We're all in agreement that we haven't played our greatest hockey the last three weeks (before the break) ... We found ways to win those games, which is to our credit, but we need to get into our playoff mode.
I’d say Duncan Keith and Brian Campbell of the Chicago Blackhawks because they’re both really good offensive defensemen and both are kind of my style.
We've got a great team in this locker room that's poised to make a run at it
A few years ago, when I was with Buffalo in Game 7, I think it was 2-2 against Carolina, and we got a call like that - Brian Campbell threw one over the glass - and they won Game 7 and went on to win the Stanley Cup
It's very distracting, at least I found it [to be] ... I got traded on trade-deadline day [two years ago]. There was a lot of talk and stuff. Personally, I found it very distracting. It was hard to concentrate on my game.
It’s just one of the most beautiful places in the world ... The look, the lay of the land, the tile-roofed villages – it’s biker’s paradise.
I don't think anyone wants to win too much more than him and he just keeps it really loose and relaxed for us ... He really makes it simple, quick and gets us excited for the game. He gets his point across and you're not sitting for 25 minutes in a meeting. We're ready to go after he talks to us.
We sold out [the event] today, which is the best part about it ... It’s the first year, so we were expecting maybe 300 people. We smashed that. It’s great.
It's going to be a good thing for guys battling injuries ... The guys get away from the rink. It's a lot of hockey that we've played so far. We're going to have to really gear up.
