I was here when they beat CC Sabathia in Game 2 against the Brewers and the place was electric ... I expect the same tonight.
Right now Philly has a 2-1 lead. We have no idea where we're going because [today] is a huge game for them with the fact that I guess [CC] Sabathia will be lurking on Game 5. So there's no easy way out of this thing. But we're just happy we have a chance to sit back a little bit.
You take the two lefties, Chase and Ryan, and the big lefty in C [CC Sabathia], in the words of my brother, 'Everybody knew they weren't going to get a hit except for them two,'
We really wanted to stay away from Cole ... We would have hated to have to pitch him [Sunday]. It’s pretty much what the Mets did to Milwaukee [by winning Saturday], and Milwaukee has to use CC [Sabathia on Sunday].
That's just me, and that's something that I didn't do last year. When we get to the playoffs, I'll definitely be doing that.
While we are disappointed to have reached this juncture, we are focused on positioning the organization for success in 2009 and beyond ... No player has impacted this team and community more in the last eight years than C.C. Sabathia. However, by trading C.C., we have infused several promising players into our organization.
