In football, anything can happen. Stumbles, such as Chelsea losing to Everton, are quite possible. Then there is Chelsea's match against Manchester United [in April] when at least one rival has to drop points
Wenger yesterday accused the media of twisting his post match comments – just as they had done after the draw at Aston Villa. "I would just like to say that I was full of compliments and praise for Chelsea after the game and I find it completely unfair from... Full Article at Irish Examiner

With that in mind, Wenger is a bit misplaced with his other comment, the one about not having money to spend on wages, since - apparently unlike Chelsea or Manchester United - he has to adhere to the club's rigid £90,000 a week maximum wage. Wenger argues... Full Article at Times Online

In football, anything can happen. Stumbles, such as Chelsea losing to Everton, are quite possible. Then there is Chelsea's match against Manchester United [in April] when at least one rival has to drop points
We don't really need to dust ourselves down. We went nine unbeaten before it and we've lost a game to a set-piece. We had an awful lot of the ball and there are a lot of positives to take. We are not going to get too down about it. We are going to try to kick on and win the next game against Chelsea.
It is always difficult to play against Chelsea because even if you have the ball and you feel like you are playing better than them, they let you play but they have a strong striker up front in Drogba, who can play alone for the 90 minutes
John Terry will continue to be a natural leader on the pitch anyway, and his form for Chelsea in the last few games suggests that what has been going on in his personal life has had no affect on him as a footballer.
Terry played, as he always does, with a sort of controlled fury… Terry is a remarkable footballer whose leadership has been fundamental to Chelsea’s success over the past half-dozen seasons ... with important contributions in defence and attack, particularly his headed assist for Didier Drogba’s opening...
how Wenger could do with a talismanic striker in the mould of Drogba or Rooney. In the absence of the injured Robin van Persie, Arsenal have looked desperately short up front, both figuratively and literally. While the muscular Drogba stands at 6ft 3in and acts as the focal point of the Chelsea attack, ...
So who’s your money on? Which of the big boys is going to claim the honour? We are not talking Manchester United or Chelsea (although my pound is on the latter’s deeper squad prevailing), but Wayne Rooney or Didier Drogba for Footballer of the Year… It is Rooney and Drogba who lead the polls, as they do...
In an act of good faith and with a view to the possibility of future collaboration with Lens, and without recognising any liability, Chelsea has agreed to pay compensation costs for the training given to the player while at Lens, as mandated by FIFA in its original ruling
Chelsea has agreed to pay compensation costs for the training given to the player while at Lens, as mandated by Fifa in its original ruling.
In light of these new circumstances, the sanctions imposed upon Chelsea and the player by the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber had to be lifted
In every game the Chelsea team has good focus and we can play good football … He's doing his best. The atmosphere in the team is the same. There has been no change. We are in a good position now. We are top. We know Manchester United are very good and it will be a long race until the end of the season.
It was fantastic ... It was a good achievement for the country, and we got to play against the likes of (Ghanian and Chelsea star Mickael) Essien and (Morocco and Bordeaux striker Marouane) Chamakh.
Forget the game against Chelsea on Sunday - Arsenal are out of the title race. They were once Arsène Wenger decided not to buy a striker in this transfer window. Too lightweight in midfield and attack, too many similar players, too one-dimensional. A few hard games lately have exposed them as overachiev...
You've got the England captain, the World Cup coming up, and everyone's going to be pointing the finger: 'is he going to be totally focused?' He's made so many mistakes. Sometimes I think in the early days, when John had an agent, he was very focused. John Terry the footballer, he's totally committed, f...
I think I have amply paid for an error of youth which is light years away from the man and footballer I am now. Today after so much time, that error cannot be the basis of a demand for damages that seem to go beyond the realm of sporting sanctions, given that Chelsea unilaterally decided to terminate my...
Looking at the way the league is shaping up, this game on Sunday is the biggest of the season for us ... If Chelsea win their game in hand they go four points ahead of us. That is the catch-up part. But Sunday's game has great relevance because both sides have a genuine chance of winning the league.
I don't think so. I am definitely going back to Chelsea. I want to try and fight for my place. I think I have a good chance of getting [in the team]. I've just got to keep doing what I'm doing, and keep playing well, and then I think I'll give myself a bigger opportunity of playing in that team ... I am...
It is exciting. I think Ancelotti has made Chelsea more consistent and improved the mentality. He is a winning guy. I went through the 7-2 again yesterday and it is not easy. But this is a great game for my players and this is why you want to be in football. Our aspirations are to get in the Premier Lea...
We have to use them as examples and hope we can cause a shock. United versus Leeds is a game which takes care of itself and on the day United were very poor. Football is football and Chelsea can’t play well every game. They need to have an off day if we are to have a chance.
It's going to be a very challenging match. As much as I want Preston to win, I just think Chelsea are too good. The best way Preston can approach the game is to attack because when they sit back and defend, that's when more goals come in, especially against teams like Chelsea. Now we've got St Ledger ba...

I’m very lucky to play for Chelsea – it could not have worked out. So I count my blessings that I’m here and I want to give it my best shot and achieve whatever I can in the game. I would probably still be coming to watch now if I wasn’t a footballer. I’d come and pay to watch Chelsea, the same as the f...

I said last game it's important now that we must play very well and improve game after game, then look at the table in two months ... Now there are six or seven teams who can arrive in the top four. It's a long way away, 18 games for us. There are now three teams that can win the Premier League: Chelsea...
