has helped J.J. tremendously ... You've seen J.J. not only add and subtract [velocity] to his fastball, but also add and subtract to his slider and changeup. When you hear other guys tell you that that's the guy they fear most in your starting five, it tells you that he's continued to impress as the sea...
It's really a shame he's had some bad luck this year ... and suffered from a lack of run support. Or else he'd definitely be in the running for a Cy Young Award. It's not a stretch to say that with a little luck this year he could have 18 wins right now.
Bobby's as much a part of Atlanta Braves baseball as Skip Caray or Pete Van Wieren and all those guys were ... More so, because he's been the one constant through the entire run that we've had over the last 20 years. It'll be a sad day when he leaves.
It's imperative that we don't just play good against good teams ... We haven't done that as consistently as Philadelphia, Colorado or San Francisco.
