This is the only place he's been at ... He's been here eight years with me. He feels that an opportunity to go to another school would be good for his professional career. I hate to lose him. Cam did a great job for us. We certainly understand that, and he left with my full support.
It will definitely be filled by then
The gold zone, there's no excuse ... When I say gold zone, I'm talking the 5-yard line and inside. There is no excuse for that. I'm very disappointed.
Our offense is one of the best in the country ... But to score 17 points and 20 the past two games -- I'm not saying we should be scoring 40 or 50 -- but it's been self-destruction.
People are allowed to stop you, but when you stop yourself that's the sin
Start right with the penalties ... It starts there and ends there. It's been unbelievable. It's not indiscipline with the technique. We have not gotten better. We've got guys jumping offsides on cadence, from receivers to tight ends to linemen. Then you add in the holding. Now you have to make up that y...
The penalties shouldn't have popped up ... That's coaching. We've let them get away with it in practice and it's my fault for not getting on the coaches hard enough and telling them I don't want to see that anymore, period. When you do it in practice, it becomes a bad habit. We had them last year, too, ...
I've never had a team in high school or college that had a chance to win a championship two times and lost them both in the fourth quarter ... It's a new direction for me to provide a leadership to this staff in particular and to these players.
We didn’t play well enough to win ... The penalties on the offensive side of the ball just killed us, and defensively when we had to stop the run we didn’t, but we really had our chances.
There’s no question it’s disappointing ... We’ve been hiding a lot of things, and as you well know, we’re not the most talented team.
We fumbled the ball ... got the first down, got the chance and did not get it done. The difference in a ball game is a play like that — that was one of the differences.
He fumbled the ball. It's just that simple ... Good call. First down. We had a chance to do our thing, and we didn't get it done. One of the differences in a ballgame like this is a play like that.
The second half, they did a good job defending us, and we had our opportunities moving the ball and shot ourselves in the foot ... We played average at best in that third quarter, offensively speaking. The fourth quarter, we were better. We were moving the ball better.
We have a chance to do the things that we set out to do and accomplish our goals, and we know it starts against a good Utah State team ... We have to rally the troops and stand up and be accountable and make things happen. ... When it's your time to make plays, you've got to make them.
When you talk leadership, let's just get right to it: It starts with them. We talked about that Monday. This is their football team. The question I asked was, 'Seniors, take a look at that (Louisiana Tech) film. What kind of production did we get out of you last week? We need you and you need to be the ...

You need your seniors to step up
They are very explosive ... Their running game is the best we’ve seen since we played Boise.
We need our seniors to step up ... This is their football team.
Last year those seniors really didn’t say much ... It was more about their work ethic and the example they set. There wasn’t a bunch of talk. Those seniors just got everyone back to business.
Cody ran the ball too much ... He had guys open and didn’t look for them. He saw some running lanes open up and he took off way too early.
It’s real simple ... We didn’t make plays. It’s not any more complicated than that. We had people in position to make plays and we didn’t do it.
There are no excuses ... We had our chances to win that game. That’s what hurts so much about this.
