I want to stay but honestly we as players can’t let ourselves think about that stuff

Obviously everybody wants to get more points ... No one wants to be a defensive forward in the NHL but obviously it’s a long season; you’re going to have your highs, you’re going to have your lows and the main thing that I’ve learned over the years is stay consistent and stay grounded.

I am not comfortable with a situation where it is OK to give tax credits to big powerful people — even ones I like — and not be able to do these for people who have no power
A lot of it is generated from the defensive zone ... We were coming back and playing stingy in our end.
I just try to be consistent and play the same way ... Some nights the bounces go your way and some nights they don’t. No one says, ‘I don’t want to score any goals.’ I’ve never heard one kid growing up say, ‘I want to be a defensive forward and stop the other team from scoring.’ Everybody loves scoring ...
They’ve got a lot of good offensive weapons over there

No one wants to play at home and lose back-to-back games or how many games we lost at home and have fans disappointed, questioning your abilities and questioning if last year was a fluke. It's a snowball effect ... They all go hand-in-hand. And especially this month we have played the game the way we're capable of playing it, and that's resulted in 34 goals in six games.
