View Photo »It seems everybody is one bad week away from slipping out of the playoffs
Let’s make it equal across the board, whether it is a fourth-line player or first-line player, whether the player plays on the East Coast or the West Coast. Don’t forget, what was the last suspension of eight games or more? Chris Pronger when he was in Anaheim. Let’s just make sure it is even.
We've found a way to lose
I wasn't surprised at the trade when the Sharks had the chance to get a Dan Boyle ... The trade by Tampa Bay (to Philadelphia) was a surprise, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise to play for a great organization and alongside Chris Pronger and others.

and our week wasn't very good. We've got to let this one soak in and understand what we just let go here and then focus on

They played with more passion and desperation than we did ... We can't be a 'sometimes' team. We've got to be an all-the-time team; we've got to play with energy and excitement . . .. When we don't come with that excitement level, we're not very good.
made our big deal last June when we added Chris Pronger.
We have to play exactly the same way. . . . No matter who's in there, we have to play with that up-tempo, aggressive, forechecking mentality.
We were (looking) to add depth at defense more than anything ... We made our big deal last June when we acquired Chris Pronger and we've added a couple pieces over the course of the year.
I think we know Boosh well enough from in practice and in the games we've played

We just didn't take care of the house like we should have, like we needed to.
And to think you could have been Chris Pronger
We really didn't play that bad
And let me guess another thing — you were like Chris Pronger. Slashing away. You were mean. Played with an edge.
We had a number of good chances on [Rinne] ... We probably could have had four or five [goals in the third].
Why is Chris Pronger on this team? Get rid of him!
We got outworked ... We played a desperate team. We knew they were desperate. We knew what they were coming in to do and we didn't respond very well. I don't think you can focus on (Avery) solely.
People don't understand ... Al (MacInnis) and I were talking about it the other day, how good was Chris Pronger at 21? Al said it took him until he was about 26 years old to understand the defensive zone.
We played a desperate team; we knew they were desperate
Are you talking to benefit their countries or to benefit the Philadelphia Flyers? ... My only concern here is to make sure we win hockey games. So if Chris Pronger played 26 minutes (Sunday) then those are the minutes he has to play. That's the only thing that matters.
and for whatever reason, we didn't.
