We're confident ... The way our team has taken it, there hasn't been more pressure, it's more excitement. We're heading into this tournament knowing we should be able to qualify.
It wasn't in the qualification tournament that we failed ... For me, it's all about looking forward and qualifying for the Olympics, and then once we get there, then maybe we can talk about redemption.
It's not the prettiest goal you'll ever see, but we'll take it
We grew throughout the tournament. We were shaky at the beginning, but he continued to encourage us to try new things ... By the time we reached the gold medal game, there was a real feeling like we had shed a new skin.
It's not a conscious decision ... It's just something that I've grown into it over time. When I was younger on this team, the veterans showed me the way, so I feel a responsibility to do the same. But at the end of the day, I always try to lead by example and leave it all out on the field.
I absolutely love it ... He is encouraging all of us to take risks, and we are developing a game that's even more suited to possession than what we had under (former head coach) Carolina (Morace).
This is our third camp with John, but I missed the first one ... And there were a few of our players that missed the Pan Am Games because of professional commitments as well. So, really, this is the first time a lot of us have been together with him coaching.
