There’s always something you can do better and after every game we look at game tape ... The last game the one thing I felt we could have been better at was those outnumbered situations. We didn’t get any shots off those. We have to be better at those and sometimes, instead of forcing a play, maybe a sh...
I’m encouraging him to take the puck himself and take it to the net ... He works a lot to make plays and he’s actually pretty good at it. But there are times where he could definitely bring it to the net himself and reward himself with that part of his game, because he’s got the speed and he’s pretty go...
It was just about slowing the game down a little bit
What hurt us was the rhythm of the game ... When you look at the second period, the rhythm of the game got changed.
We all know how these streaks sometimes end and it kind of deflates the bubble ... We don’t want that to be the case with our team. We just want to keep plugging along here. We won some games (during) the streak that we didn’t deserve and we lost one (Friday) where we deserved a better fate. It balances...
I thought we were good ... The lines got unbalanced after a little while because of the score, but for the most part I thought we had some good effort and the guys played hard.
I don't think it's the end of the world that it ended tonight
There’s some scouting reports on goaltenders. The last guy that shot did a pretty good job and even Tyler ... It is what it is. I think [Peverley] tried to go against the grain there and missed the net. We’ve got guys when it’s time to deke, the scouting report is out there and we have certain guys that...
There’s nothing wrong with the game we played. I thought we were the better team out there ... Having said that, we won some games lately that maybe we didn’t necessarily deserve, but we found ways to win. And that’s what (Detroit) did.
He's come along and it's been a bit of an adjustment for him because of the fact that he's wearing a full facemask and you've got to get used to that
We had some excellent chances. It was a great game
I liked him as both an individual and a player ... And he was a hard worker. Unfortunately, organizations make decisions based on what they can or can't do. And we didn't have a choice but to put him on the waivers at that stage. He got picked up because he was a good player.
Whether it's impressive or whether it was really needed for us to get back into a playoff spot, that was the main theme ... We kind of kissed away that first month and we had to redeem ourselves.
We've always taken care of ourselves
We actually didn’t have much of a choice the way we had backed ourselves against the wall there for the start of the season [3-7]. We understood that it had to be done, and we’re fortunate enough to have what we consider a pretty good team. You go from winning a Stanley Cup to being last in your confere...

We’re not the ones looking for revenge, if there is one ... That’s not a big issue, and I think our team has been able to handle teams that have tried to push us around, so that’s not even something we’re going to lose sleep over.
