I do feel Greinke deserved the award ... He had an outstanding year. I know that his win (total) wasn't as good as some would like to see out of a Cy Young winner, but I believe that wins are not the most telling stat of how a pitcher performed.
Thanksgiving weekend is but a caloric memory, but odds are there are plenty of leftovers in the fridge, not to mention the ones in the ever-evolving world of baseball. Full Article at MLB.com

I think he's going to be a Cy Young pitcher someday ... I hope this year.

View Photo »What the president is trying to do, at the moment, is pass contentious health care legislation. Giving him a prize that many will see as underserved - and that aligns him with European elites instead of average Americans - isn't going to help that effort ... At the conservative National Review, they're ...
I think that’s kind of what I expected to start the season off ... and I think that’s what the fans expected me to do to go every game out there and throw eight shutout innings and all of a sudden be standing here right now holding the potential Cy Young. But that’s not the case.
What he did today was absolutely amazing ... That's what they brought him here for. That's what they counted on. He went out and did his job. He was the Cliff Lee that won Cy Young.
I would not want to face the Cardinals in the first round. With Chris Carpenter and Adam Wainwright, either of them should win the Cy Young, the Dodgers are really going to need to flip a switch and bring the power on offense. Manny [Ramirez], especially, will need to step up and lead that lineup. Those...
This season isn’t the manager’s fault ... They traded away all his players. You can’t win when you trade two Cy Young winners in CC Sabathia and Cliff Lee. Dolan is getting what he paid for.
Cy Young beat him in Kansas City, and the MVP beat him in this park. They took care of each other in their home ballpark. I want to see them at a neutral field now.
Roy Oswalt will win his first Cy Young Award. Lance Berkman will be the National League MVP.
I bet you Mark Buehrle would trade that perfect game for 20 wins and a Cy Young, because he knows ... He'd rather be in the playoffs.
We had a lot of kids mature, we had a lot of people step up ... We had guys that had great years -- MVP-type years, Cy Young-type years. We've gotten a lot out of this year.
This guy hit .350 all year ... He got into a little tailspin here at the end, but that happens. I'm happy for him. I really am. To win the batting title is hard to do, just like winning the Cy Young [Award]. He is always getting pitched around. I'm glad he did it. It's his award. He really had a big yea...
It was Cy Young against MVP ... That makes for great drama.
Over the last 30 years, 11 pitchers have had an ERA under 2.50 and have had at least 260 strikeouts, and all 11 of those pitchers have won the Cy Young ... That’s where Tim Lincecum (15-7, 2.48 ERA) is, and that’s why by the smallest of margins, he is the best pitcher in the National League this year.
Yeah, we need to go to church and pray to score some runs ... He's nasty, and he's looking to go for a Cy Young. [CC} Sabathia got crushed tonight, so it's all on his hands. It's national TV, going up against an AL MVP candidate [in Joe Mauer], so he might go nine tomorrow.
It’s the same thing as the Cy Young
It’s the same thing as the Cy Young ... You don’t think about that type of stuff. I never thought about winning a Cy Young or winning 20 games. I always just wanted to win a championship.
It’s the same thing as the Cy Young — you don’t think about that type of stuff
Once we got Peavy, if I’m the White Sox organization, I start him. The guy has dominated, is a (2007 National League) Cy Young award winner. To be honest with you, I think he’s a better pitcher than I am.
It feels great ... We had a lot of kids mature. We had a lot of people step up. We had a lot of people have great years, MVP-type years, Cy Young-type years. We got a lot out of this year. But this is only step one.
It's really a shame he's had some bad luck this year ... and suffered from a lack of run support. Or else he'd definitely be in the running for a Cy Young Award. It's not a stretch to say that with a little luck this year he could have 18 wins right now.
He might have won the (Cy Young) that eighth inning ... We needed that. To reach into his reserves, that was. ... He might have won the award.
He might have won the [Cy Young] award in the eighth inning ... It was his inning.
He was aggressive and got right to the point ... There wasn't any fiddling around. He came right after guys. For Z, a guy who has swing-and-miss stuff, for his pitch count to be what it was going into the ninth inning was incredible. Z, even in his worst year is going to have Cy Young type stuff. Its ju...
At our state where we were, we made the big leap and spent that much [money] on a player that wanted to play for us, but down the stretch, we felt we might be able to get something good for him. I didn't know we would get a Hall of Famer and a Cy Young award winner for Doyle Alexander
