Dave Bush has incredible heart, incredible courage ... I say 'courage' because I can't say what I really want to. Call it 'intestinal fortitude.' He just wills a way to get it done, and when you go to war, that's the dude you want as your wing man right there. 
I just have one of those feelings Dave Bush will shut down the Phillies today, he always pitches great on 3rd Wednesdays of the month when the humidity is 58 percent.

Dave Bush is one of the most professional, hard-working guys you'll ever be around ... He fortunately does have a rubber arm, where he's never sore or anything like that, so he can bounce back. He can be used in the bullpen, especially in these kind of games, where if he starts Game 3, he's the type of guy who will be available for Game 4.
That's what our decision was ... We're trying to line this up in the best manner possible, the best pitching we can throw out there. Dave Bush has obviously been one of the better pitchers in baseball his last 13 or so starts.

I had a couple of situations like with the leadoff hitter in the fourth ... But (I was) trying not to do too much with each pitch. With the guy on second base, nobody out, trying to get outs and not compounding the inning by giving up more base hits.
That was thrilling ... I know everyone here has waited a long time for that situation. It’s something that I’ll definitely remember for a long time, being able to start with two strikeouts and just hearing the crowd. I had to take a step back and take a deep breath and try not to get caught up in the situation. There was a lot of outs left.
