View Photo »He played very well ... The last three, four games, I thought he's played very well. He's come back in and kind of stabilized his game a little bit. Sometimes a player misses a game, sometimes it's the mix you're looking for in the whole group.
I wanted everyone to know this is where I wanted to be ... Even though (negotiations) lasted after the (July 1) deadline, Phoenix was still No. 1 and I'm glad we got it done. I like to play for Tip (coach Dave Tippett). I like the guys in the room. Tip is making everyone in here a better player, includi...
We got off to a good start, but made a couple of poor reads to give up the lead early ... We chased the game the rest of the way.
You have to be willing to be prepared physically and mentally every night ... You've got to stay injury free and have the ability to play through some injuries, but that's a badge of honor to see how many games they can play in a row. It shows that they're not just mentally strong but physically their b...
It's going to be a very important stretch
First and foremost, he is our leader of our team ... He is one of the best captains I've ever been around in the NHL. He leads through example. His personality on and off the ice are outstanding.

The NHL has done a good job of making sure that whatever is happening is happening behind closed doors and that's the way we like it
He has a soft spot for Winnipeg, his career started here
The difference being last year, the last two months of the season, there was an owner (Matthew Hulsizer) that was around our team every day, acting like the owner, like it was held up in Glendale ... There was much more going on right up to the end of the season, and it’s a much different situation this...
It’s probably because we play our road game even at home
We did some pretty good things there ... First period I thought we gave up a couple chances on outnumbered breaks, but then we made a couple adjustments, players recognized a couple things, and the rest of the way we were pretty solid.
They're obviously a team that's played very well this year ... We've got to go in there and build off of what we did the other night (3-0 win over Dallas). We want to continue to improve our game, and that's what we'll be looking for.
It's checking, it's with the puck getting engaged in the battle, the execution of winning a one-on-one was just nonexistent ... We kept turning it over, and they kept taking the chances.
We didn't start very good, we didn't have a good middle and we didn't end very good ... So that pretty much sums it up right there.
Our execution was so far below normal it wasn't even a game
A lot of teams when they come off a trip they have a down game
I thought we played a very solid game
I've seen that one before in practice
He got hit with with a puck, and he was cut, and when you're looking at the concussion-syndrome thing, it's anybody's guess ... I don't think anybody expected Sidney Crosby to be out as long as he has either. That's just something, day to day, you see where he is. He keeps trying to move forward, and (T...

Our power play needs to get back on track again
We've found people that fit into roles well ... I think we'll continue to get stronger with (Daymond) Langkow coming back (bereavement leave), with the addition of (Kyle) Turris (who ended his holdout). I think we have a chance to continue to grow and get better as a team, which we're going to have to d...
It’s not just the penalty-killing part, but he’s come in and really stabilized our center ice, given us some really quality minutes, and he’s got a few points on the board ... He’s been a solid, solid player for us.
Boyd’s come in, he’s a very, what I call, professional player. He prepares well, thinks the game well, will do whatever it takes to help the team win ... And he’s been a really good addition to our team. It’s not just the penalty-killing part, but he’s come in and really stabilized our center ice, given...
