Wikipedia

David Lee Wells (born May 20, 1963 in Torrance, California) is a former Major League Baseball starting pitcher. Nicknamed "Boomer", Wells was one of the game's better left-handed pitchers, especially during his years with the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays.
