My family and I are excited to be going back home ... As a kid growing up in Denver, I always dreamed of winning a championship with the Nuggets. Hopefully we can make that dream a reality. I'll miss my teammates, the fans and everyone in the Pistons organization who I grew close to over the last six years. We had a great run.
A source close to Denver Nuggets guard Allen Iverson is telling people in Denver that he expects to be traded to the Detroit Pistons for Chauncey Billups.
I know a lot of people are saying that our defense left when Marcus Camby left ... So, I think that gives us motivation to go out there and prove to everybody that we are going to come together as a team and play defense. I'm pretty sure you guys will see a different defensive team this year from the Denver Nuggets.
Denver fans did expect in the beginning for him to be the savior ... And when he didn't pan out that way (like Le-Bron James or Dwyane Wade), people started to look down on him. But you're telling a 20-year-old to be a savior. . . . I'd like to see the Nuggets pick it up this year — the whole team playing as a team, defense thing.
The Denver Nuggets are averaging 103.2 ppg while the Raptors come into tonight's match-up averaging only 92.9 ppg. So, if Denver is able to score more than 100 points tonight they will earn the W. Toronto plays at too slow of a pace to beat the Nuggets if Denver shoots a decent percentage from the field.
