Shanae is our go-to player ... She is extremely athletic, with a competitive nature and a fearless mentality. Her favorite player is [the Detroit Pistons'] Allen Iverson, and her in-your-face game mirrors that. She is totally fearless.

For me, it was all about just working as hard as I could ... I felt like if I could win the sprint against a McDonald's All-American, I was all right. I knew if I could win a one-on-one game vs. [former Kentucky and current Detroit Pistons forward] Tayshaun Prince, I was going to be all right. ... And I think Ralph does a good job of that in practice.
The Detroit Pistons are starting to look like the Detroit Lions -- they're always a wreck on Sunday.
He loves coaching, he really does ... I think he loved the Detroit Pistons and winning a title [2004], too. He loves to golf, he loves his family, but he's not a guy to ever sit around and just do that. He wants to teach more than coach. I really think if he could get a guy to do the games and he could be in charge of all the practices, he would probably just do that.
Dice is going to return back to Detroit ... He really had a difficult time with the process for a variety of reasons. Everyone had their pros and cons. But he made a promise [to the Pistons] and his team that he was going to try to win a championship with them.
I was on teams where defense wasn't their mainstay ... Kobe Bryant, his offense kind of overshadows everything else. If you miss a lay-up when he passes you the ball, that's what they remember you for. The Detroit Pistons leave guys out there one-on-one. They want to play one-on-one basketball with good defense.
I was definitely looking forward to the [Pistons-Celtics] game ... But that day has gone and passed. They played against a different No. 1 in Detroit in that game. I'm sure they didn't expect that, either. We get a chance to play again [tonight]. I'm with a whole different team now. But [the Celtics are] the cream of the crop and you always use those kind of games as a measuring stick to see where you are at.
The best part about it is we struggled at times in the game but we got it done ... We're going into the next game with some confidence. It's going to be a good measuring stick for us.
If at the end of the season it's like this then it would mean a lot ... There have been a lot of teams that have gotten off to good starts and it doesn't mean they have a great finish, but this is what we want to do and we're doing the right thing.
