Don Sundquist which is just one of thousands of pieces of campaign memorabilia that he has collected and displayed in his office next door to his home in Gallatin, Tenn. Hayes, a Democratic fundraiser for the presidential campaigns of former Vice President Al Gore, has died. A family statement said Hayes died Saturday Sept. 20, 2008 in Tennessee after a battle with stomach cancer. He was 67.
