It was a very easy decision to bring someone like Greg Paulus into the program ... People are going to have their opinions on what we should do with the program, 'Coach should do this, coach should do that,' and I appreciate their opinion because they support the team. But I don't want to be the guy who...
We're still going out there to win games, not to give people experience for next year ... It's not next year until the last game is over. The way people are getting experience now on this team is through injury. We always played to win. I think that's what you do at Syracuse.
We just played the No. 4 team in the country (Cincinnati) and we’re getting ready to play the 14th team in the country.
I have never seen an athlete, at any level including the NFL, work as hard as Greg has worked since he's joined us here ... Calling for a backup quarterback ... I understand that's just a part of sports. But Greg is one of us. He grew up here. He came back to do something that's never been done before.
I've never seen an athlete at any level, including the NFL, work as hard mentally and physically as Greg has worked since he's joined us here ... Really, what he's accomplished is extraordinary. Maybe he can't be fully appreciated because most don't know just how difficult it is to play quarterback at a...
Mike Williams came into me today and has quit the program ... Again, I do not comment on people that have left the program, but he has quit the program.
I think it was a nice job by him ... He's a young quarterback. I think he did a very nice job. I think he's a strong runner. You know we all saw the play against South Florida, but he really can run and he's elusive.
They slowed the game down ... They ran the ball. It was down 24-17 and had a chance to tie it up. I think they did (show how to beat Cincinnati).
Cincinnati is one of the best teams in the country, if not the best team in the country ... You're talking about a team that's putting close to 200 (cumulative season) points in the first half. They get on you.
To find out that we've lost to them for seven straight years hurts me like it hurts everyone else in this room or anyone else who is a Syracuse University fan
We emphasize it every day ... Prior to the South Florida game, we were plus-three and we were 30th in the country. So it’s something that we talk about to all the players on a weekly basis.
I told Nico that the people who play this game and in real-life situations, they're going to get beat
He's not the reason we lost (the South Florida) game
Coach Nehlen is a tremendous coach, and I remember him at West Virginia and the type of team they had down there ... I always knew that when we played West Virginia it was going to be a flat-out war.

I told Nico this: 'The people that play this game in real live situations are going to get beat,' ... There's not a person that's played this game of football that hasn't gotten knocked on their butt, or hasn't gotten beat. The true test of Nico, and the rest of our football team, is how do we respond t...

As far as I know right now, it's Nico Scott ... No one has made any changes yet. We have not made one change from a personnel standpoint. So Nico Scott is starting as of right now.

Mike Williams had a tremendous game ... Mike went up there and got a ball, and that's what we're talking about when the ball goes into the air. South Florida had a chance to get that one ball. Mike went up and grabbed that football. Mike has done a tremendous job and we need other players to step it up ...

It would be a challenge for an NFL offensive line against this team ... These will be the most talented, best defensive ends we play against.
These will be the most talented defensive ends that we play against ... I think their inside players are underrated. They can play now, the kids inside. The linebackers are big, they can run. The defensive backs are athletic, they can run. Everyone knows it's not a secret that Florida State has tremendo...
