View Photo »They’ve asked me if I think I could play shortstop ... They’ve put it out there and I’ve told them I’m all for it. I can do it. I can’t wait for Tito [Terry Francona] to call me and ask, ‘Can you do it?’ I can do it. I really want to do it.
Good coaching ... I’m running to back up, couldn’t see that he left early. (Dustin Pedroia [stats]) told me he left early.
They've asked me if I think I could play shortstop ... They've put it out there and I've told them I'm all for it. I can do it. I can't wait for (manager Terry Francona) to call me and ask, 'can you do it?' I can do it. I really want to do it.
If Boston had won on Sunday, the way Dustin Pedroia turned a double play in the sixth inning would have been a highlight. Instead, the double play that Pedroia could not make in the eighth became an issue. And Pedroia took a couple swipes at the grounds crew because of it. It took a bad hop ... Our infi...
I remember in '07 we were down 3-1 against Cleveland ... It was the worst feeling ever. You have that terrible feeling in your stomach that you don't want the season to end. So we just have to go out there and kind of take baby steps. You have to try to win every inning, win every pitch, and hopefully t...
I remember in ’07, we were down 3-1 against Cleveland and it was the worst feeling ever ... You have that same kind of feeling now, obviously. You have that terrible feeling in your stomach that you don’t want the season to end. We know we have a great team. We just haven’t played well the first two gam...
We're really looking forward to it ... It's tough playing on the road, especially in Anaheim. They have great fans. The place gets loud. But Fenway is also really tough to play at for a visiting team. Hopefully our fans are extremely loud behind us and make it tough on those guys.
A little bit ... Last year was definitely tough, the way we lost, coming one game away from going to the World Series again. Hopefully this year we don't have those feelings.
We like our chances ... We were one game away from going to the World Series last year with the same team. Then you add Victor (Martinez) and Alex (Gonzalez), so we’re pretty excited about what we can do.
He's a horse ... We've seen him the last few years. He's kind of similar to Roy Halladay in Toronto who we've faced a lot. He's a bulldog out there, he throws strikes. He competes better than anybody in the game. We're going to go out there and battle as hard as we can, and hopefully, we beat him.
He definitely handles everything about Boston great ... The best I could compare it to is Joe Torre and how he handled New York.
