I just let her dictate the whole game. That's not the way I was planning to go, you know, on the court. I feel like I was not aggressive enough. I was not playing deep enough. If you look at the statistic, I was not able to make winners, which I usually do
Elena Dementieva is our most recent champion from that part of the world, and it will be very interesting to see who can follow in her footsteps.
She’s a great player. Playing against her, you really can learn a lot and improve your game
I came here not (just) to pass the second round; I came here to be in the final ... You have to be ready facing Justine if you want to win the whole title.
I didn’t come here to lose in the second round; I came here to play in the final.
I feel like I was not aggressive enough. I was not [hitting] deep enough ... I mean, she was playing well. But I feel like I gave her the opportunity to play that well.
I feel like I was in a good shape coming here. It is disappointing
I think I just let her play that aggressively today. You know, I was not playing deep enough. So I just let her dictate the whole game. That's not the way I was planning to go, you know, on the court
She did a great preparation before coming here and was playing very well in Brisbane
I think it was a very difficult day for all of us
Melbourne is a very nice place for shopping … it's hard to get away without buying something
I'm very satisfied the way I was playing today and the whole week
For sure such a big win gives you a lot of confidence
I expect a tough match. She's a great champion ... I just hope it's going to be a good match for both of us, and good preparation for the Open.
I was trying to be very aggressive from the beginning of the match
I expect a tough match, she's a great champion
Dinara had a slow start, but I was ready for the game and ready for the fight ... She's a big girl, so she's a big hitter. You have to be ready for her to be very aggressive on the court. Sometimes you have to play defensive.
It's always good to have the statistic, but I think every match is very different, especially against Dinara ... That's what we all are looking for here, to play against top players and get this match confidence.
I don't feel any pressure, to be honest with you, because I like to play
She has got a big future ... She's playing unbelievably well for 15 years old.
She's playing unbelievably well for 15 years old ... I was very impressed with her.
She's playing unbelievably well for 15 years old, I was very impressed with her
She's playing extremely well for a 15-year-old
