I am still chasing my first victory in Fed Cup, but I feel it will be this weekend ... I really want to taste what victory is like in the Fed Cup, the emotions you share with everyone.

I wish Venus and Serena [Williams] would play [Fed Cup] sometimes. It would be helpful for us. They are great girls and great ambassadors and we want them to play. Just play!
I wanted to continue and keep practising and keep the ball rolling and arrive for the Fed Cup really ready.

I didn't speak to Billie about it (beforehand), but after we talked. We took a picture. I was excited. I said, 'I tied you.' But what an honour. Billie Jean is a really big mentor of mine. She was a Fed Cup coach at one time, which was super cool. We had so much fun.
It is a challenge of balancing tour commitments, Grand Slams and Fed Cup. It comes down to getting the right format that works for the member nations.
We have the Fed Cup and I'd like to see some tweaks to Fed Cup, but I think it is great and has its place in our sport. I know how important international team competition is to athlete development and in some countries it is the only tennis they have, so it is just trying to find a balance.
After reaching the Fed Cup final in 2009, I know the team is committed to working hard again this year, starting next weekend in France
I'm happy to bring back Melanie, whose toughness and fortitude are important attributes when playing in the Fed Cup competition
Everyone wants to be the No.1 representing in the Fed Cup. There is a lot of competition between us.
Why put her through the scrutiny of the Fed Cup tie when she is suffering like that?
Logic prevailed, and the welfare of the player is more important than anything. Why put her under the scrutiny of a Fed Cup tie when she's struggling like that? I'm happy to have her back in when she's ready to be back in.
I met with her and she just felt she probably couldn't give the performance necessary to win matches at Fed Cup level
When you're playing Fed Cup you have a lot of support directly on the court and with you in the week prior, so that could be a really good thing for Jelena and I'm hoping it is
Everyone's pretty emotional after they play and I'm expecting her to be part of the team - I haven't heard any differently ... It's a different dynamic in Fed Cup.
Jelena always comes back from adversity and I'm sure this will be no different. All she needs to do is win some matches, and Fed Cup is a great support around her
If you look where we're at in Fed Cup, we're not able to make the top 16 at the moment, and in Davis Cup, with the world group 16 countries and Asia-Oceania group one eight countries, there're 24 countries ahead of us, so I think top 32 would be a realistic aspiration for us at the moment, and a good st...
Unfortunately for us the Fed Cup opening round was placed in between the Australian Open and a series of important tournaments in the United States
Bimal is a great coach and his absence doesn't take away anything from the match. Yes the local advantage is there for them but my boys have regrouped after Fed Cup performance. And we will be happy either winning the match or taking back one point.
I'm absolutely delighted to be in the squad ... It's a team event and one that is really important to me. To make my comeback from injury at the Fed Cup will be tough, but hopefully we can perform well and move GB into the World Group.
I'm absolutely delighted to be included in the AEGON GB Fed Cup Squad
I had three main goals in my career, becoming world number one, claiming a grand slam title and a Fed Cup. I achieved all of them
