I drew on my experience in developing programs at Forbes magazine for screening and analyzing financial data on some of the largest public companies in the U.S.
We don't live lavishly, we don't splash money around, we don't publicise gifts. But, at least within our part of the country, I did become very well known and when something like Forbes magazine prints lists of people's incomes, then it is difficult to keep things quiet.
