We had curfew. We talked about it a lot. (Weiss) didn't make it and we're going to send him home
Yeah, I'm proud of a lot of our seniors classes here lately, but this crowd does have a chance to go out as the winningest senior class ever
He’s kind of in his own world there, but I think he knows exactly what he’s doing
He's a guy that he answers the bell ... I mean, his play at wide receiver, punt returns when he came in there that week and punt returned for us, he did a great job. He's just one of those guys that is smart and a good football player and answers the bell.
I think that beard and that hair is just part of it right now
Charming, kind of funny ... Blake has kind of his own world there. I think he knows exactly what he's doing.
Experience means a lot ... He's always had toughness. He's always been smart, but I think experience is a key thing in your offensive line. He's got that, and he's got some teammates beside him that have experience. I think that's probably helped his play.
as much time evaluating them as we do a scholarship guy
You always worry about the guys that don’t make it, though
Well, this is a new year and another team, and we were fortunate to do that a couple times. But I don’t take much from that. I just think you’ve got to go get ready to play a great football game
I'm really proud of our football team. To come in here against a very hot team, and just play as well as we did and take it to them the way we did -- I'm really proud of them ... I'm proud of what this football program is all about. These kids played the game the right way and I'm really proud of them. ...
They beat us soundly; took it to us
He knows where he wants to go with the ball, and all that just comes with experience ... He’s been really good for us in taking care of the ball … he’s been accurate, and when he gets going, he’s a fast guy. He’s not quite as quick as (former Hokies quarterback) Tyrod (Taylor), but he’s quick enough. He...
Blake DeChristopher is solid; he’s tough ... He’s a guy who understands the game. Blake has started 49 games for us, and that really helps along the offensive line. You always know what you are going to get from Blake - a good day’s work and all that he’s got. The Jacobs Blocking Trophy is a prestigious...
You always know what you are going to get from Blake — a good day’s work and all that he’s got
It's a fantastic thing for us
We made a stop right there, made a statement right there
To come in here and be able to win in the fashion we did, I think everyone associated with Virginia Tech football is satisfied
I appreciate their philosophy that they want to hammer you
but I also appreciate that we want to hammer them back.
He's in control ... I love that about him. He takes the blame, he's just a great leader for us, he gets the job done, and the players really respect him. I don't think you could ask for anything better.
We were a little concerned with their big guys up front and our rookies in there
We shut out a really good football team ... I’m really proud of what we’re all about.
No question, it's a huge game ... A big day in the state of Virginia.
