I don't think it was a 27/5 wicket. Our bowlers did agreat job. The way they started after second ball of the day went for six was really remarkable. We used the new ball very well and made the most of whatever was there this morning. Couple of good balls when Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir got out....

We used the new ball very well and made the most of whatever was there this morning. Couple of good balls when Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir got out....
Obviously, there is responsibility. There is huge responsibility on me and Sehwag when experienced players like (Daniel) Vettori, AB de Villiers and (Paul) Collingwood are not there and we are ready for that
Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir sustained injuries during the third match of the Hero Honda Cup 2009, played at Delhi on October 31. A final decision on their availability for the fourth match, to be played at Mohali on November 2 will be taken on the morning of the game
After all, cricket has given them everything. Whatever fame they have or whatever they achieved is because of cricket. If you ask me, I don't believe Pakistan intentionally lost that game
I think he (Dhoni) has no place in the top order. You have Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar at the top and Gautam Gambhir comes next. Yuvraj Singh is at his best at number four and so Dhoni comes after him
I don't feel any top side would like to do that. It's about the integrity of the game and the country. I you ask me I don't feel Pakistan has done that. Any professional cricketer would like to give his 100 per cent on the field
Veeru (Virender Sehwag) and Gauti (Gautam Gambhir) gave us a good start. Yuvi (Yuvraj Singh) did his part and (Suresh) Raina provided the necessary impetus. The bowlers did a great job too. Praveen (Kumar) and Ishant (Sharma) bowled very well. While Praveen got good swing, Ishant got the bounce. Conside...
I never thought I would score 1000 runs in both forms of the game especially in Test cricket because at one point of time I wasn't even there in the Test team. But I think the Sri Lanka series was the turning point for my Test career
The team's performance today was outstanding. All of them played well without exception. The old Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen today. He was brilliant. So too were Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag and others
It is a very difficult choice to make because if you see our batting order, Sehwag and Sachin open the innings, with Gautam Gambhir at number three and Yuvraj Singh at number four. The next slot available is number five, and depending on the strength of individual players, who can have a bigger impact o...
We lost too many wickets during the powerplay which was the turning point. We lost Gautam Gambhir, (Suresh) Raina, myself and Ravindra Jadeja. Full credit to Harbhajan Singh and Praveen Kumar for bringing us so close to the target
Some of our big names (Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Ashish Nehra and Ishant Sharma) will be on international duty (against Australia) while Mithun Manhas is unfit. The experience of Aakash Chopra and Rajat Bhatia should come handy since the team has a couple of new faces. I expect the youngsters to ...
Gautam Gambhir -- India's opening batsman in all forms of the game currently adds a left hander dimension to the master right hander we already represent. The association is a long term one and is for Gautam's worldwide representation rights
When I ran Gautam Gambhir out with the same hand, people clapped and said 'what a patriot, playing for the country with a broken finger'. Now, the same people will call me names, they will suggest I was up to something. I am not worried about anything
When I ran out Gautam Gambhir in the game against India everyone praised me. But when dropped one catch it has become a talking point now
With South Africa three-and-a-half hours behind, you don’t expect people to stay up after Gautam Gambhir got out.
Gautam Gambhir was playing brilliantly and when (Suresh) Raina was playing with Rahul Dravid, things were getting dangerous. We are very lucky that he got run out. I was getting the feeling that if he continues to bat like he was he could take the game away from us.
We can understand his position. We would have of course wanted him — he also recommended Gautam Gambhir replace Virender Sehwag as the side’s captain — but in the end it was his and Victoria’s decision
The coming back of Gautam Gambhir will give us a lot of relief. He is such a batsman who is not only capable of giving a good start but we have seen that he takes his innings to 50 overs.
