If keeping tradition alive mattered, the Tigers would be playing in the SEC East once the 2012 season began. The Tigers have added a national twist to their recruiting since the beginning of the Gene Chizik era, but the Tigers have traditionally built...

Barrett is a great young man who ended his career in a fitting way by helping lead our team to victory in the Chick-fil-A Bowl
I think that if the conference has the chance to expand and should expand, then Mike Slive will make it happen. I'm not sure what teams because he's said he doesn't want to dip into markets the SEC already owns. Maybe Va Tech finally comes around ... ...
The Tigers’ defense was dreadful for most of the season, and other than former tailback Michael Dyer , there wasn’t a lot to get excited about on offense, either. Nonetheless, Gene Chizik and his staff still found a way to carve out eight victories,...
2004, Nick Saban’s Tigers only managed 16 points while being stomped 45-16 in a game where Georgia called off the Dawgs early. Georgia split the four games with Tuberville’s Auburn Tigers during that period. Mark Richt’s Georgia offense scored 17, 24,...

It is a business trip, don’t get me wrong, but it feels like a family. It felt like much more of a warm reception. Gene Chizik is a straight shooter and telling you how it is . . . You can't say enough positive things about the coaching staff.
But with his new $3.3 million salary, he now becomes the sixth member of the SEC's $3 million club. According to figures compiled by USA Today, the others are Alabama's Nick Saban ($4.83 million), LSU's Les Miles ($3.85 million), Arkansas' Bobby...
While I am far from sold on Muschamp at this juncture, there is no way I would mark him off at this point. Nick Saban looked lost in his first season back in the SEC. Mark Richt cost his team two games with poor clock management his first season. Gene...

Our margin for error is very small
This trip to Auburn was more low key than when he went over there for the Florida game ... I haven’t had the chance to talk to him about it s since we’re on break, but I understand he had a good time and got to talk with [Gene Chizik]. He’s still committed to Georgia Tech. I’m pretty sure he told me tha...
We wanted to keep the game close until the fourth quarter and have a chance to make a play here and there and have a chance to win the game ... We got to the fourth quarter and felt like we were somewhere in that ballpark, and the fourth quarter got away from us.
We’ll go back and really revisit every position at every facet ... You can lump the quarterback in there with the guards and the centers and the wideouts. It’s all the same.
There are going to be guys who are going to be sought after as head coaches, there are going to be all kinds of different variables, but I’ve always placed a very high amount of importance on staff continuity
We got a lot of experience for a lot of guys that will be invaluable moving forward. We’re just going to continue to grow.
We’ll look at everything, every position
This is certainly one of the huge disappointments ... I have a locker room full of guys right now and coaches that are hurting, and a lot of fans I know who are hurting as well. So, this is a tough day.
We are going to look at everything
Kiehl has a ways to go in terms of being ready to run this offense, but it certainly doesn’t mean he won’t get ready any time soon ... He’s got a chance to be a really good quarterback here.
We were stopping the run about like we had hoped to for three quarters ... Our pass defense was not very good.

We wanted to keep the game close in the fourth quarter and have a chance to win the game ... We got to the fourth quarter and felt like we were somewhere in that ballpark, and the fourth quarter got away from us. We kind of self-destructed.
It's been a lot of ups and downs this season for 12 games ... We've had some really good games. We've had some disappointments, and this is certainly one of the huge disappointments. This team, it may be the best out of all three
Alabama doesn't try to trick you ... They do a great job of formationing people and doing things of that nature, but they have about four running plays and they are going to ask you to stop it. There's not many that have, and I think that's pretty obvious for everybody that watches football.
This is not a good football team, this is a great football team we're playing
When things have started going south for us, we haven’t responded
They have a stable of running backs, and they have an offensive line right now that will knock you off the ball
One thing we've been conditioned to do around here for three years is always block out the outside distractions ... We talk about again blocking out all the things that you can't control and only working on the things you can control. I really believe our teams lives by that. I don't have any reason to ...
It's a week where we can show all the recruits the direction of the program, which is really important ... We feel great about where we're headed, there's no question about it. Again, for all these young guys coming in, the thing that will be very glaring to them when they come to the game to watch our ...
He’s really done a great job of getting his body prepared, and he was really coming along
