People have to understand that the only people who wanted this UConn-Tennessee thing were those outside women's basketball
I was just really overwhelmed when Coach (Geno Auriemma) brought it to my attention ... I guess it comes with how hard you work. Not just going to practice and working out, but doing the little things, coming in early in the morning. I guess everything is just paying off as (time) goes by. I am just loo...

Everybody in the country has to understand that the only people who really wanted the whole Connecticut-Tennessee thing were people outside women's basketball
It dawned on me that our program has been really good since 1995, I mean like on television all the time and everybody in state of Connecticut knows who we are

I think the kids that come to Connecticut understand that
There's this feeling at Connecticut, you have to win every game and you have to play at a higher level than everybody else ... I've always said, if I have to motivate a kid to want to win at Connecticut, you should leave.

It doesn't mean that these players will be on the team that goes over to the Czech Republic in September [for the 2010 World Championship] ... A lot can happen between now and next spring when we get together again [for the next camp].
With this whole thing I have just kind of realized how big it got ... I realized how many people are reading this story. I realized my name is in The [Boston] Globe and The New York Times.
Having the right coaching staff is really key, because we want people who know how to teach the game and have great rapport with the players ... Doug, from all the years that he's coached, the opportunities he's had with USA Basketball and his tremendous love and dedication to the game of women's basket...
