I wish we had Nate McMillan
We didn't have enough energy. We never did get a grip ... Crawford played great. Joe Johnson did a good job. Josh Smith had an incredible game. We didn't respect his shot blocking. We needed an 'A' game from a lot of guys, and we didn't get it.

There are windows of failure in the NBA ... With back-to-backs, there's a bigger window to not meet the level of competition that night. There's always windows of failure in defensive scenarios. Now when he gets double-teamed, he knows the game will give him his opportunities. He doesn't force his oppor...
There's a rustiness that comes with not playing in NBA games that he's going to have to fight through ... We have not had a lot of practices, either. He's been playing one-on-one with my assistants and shooting 500 shots a day and running to try and stay in shape. That's different than being jumped on a...
The equalizer in NBA basketball is that the game is long and the better team usually comes out after a while ... Our two best players weren't shooting well, but I felt pretty good about the way they came out in the third quarter.
They add another defender, which will let Kobe roam ... What got them over the top last year was their defense, and I think they showed (in the preseason) they're a better defensive team now than they were last year. I don't know if it's all Ron Artest, but I think that's a part of it.
I think we want to get Chris more involved. He hasn't had that Chris Andersen game yet
He's a fast, athletic guy, a poor-man's J.R. Smith type of guy
We've been searching for a guy who's pretty dangerous from 18 feet ... Chauncey (Billups) always likes that guy because he's had that type of guy in Detroit. But our top three big guys are pretty good, so taking minutes will be pretty difficult.
I don't remember (kicking the ball and being ejected in '95). I'm getting too old to remember ... Go back and get the video. I've gotten thrown out in Indiana a lot.
The last time I was in this situation we won 61 games (in Seattle), so I'm going to try and break that record.
