In four years I have never spoken about referees, not even about the penalties against Valencia nor the offside at Getafe. But I would like to congratulate Rayo as they played well. It is impossible for them to not remain in this league with the ambition they showed.
Madrid is putting maximum importance on each game because it hasn’t won this competition in a while ... My idea of sport is to respect all adversaries. That is why I said that Getafe was a good team and why I say the same thing about Rayo.
They scored a goal from a corner and things became much harder then. I am not one to make excuses, but we could not score and the whole Getafe team was at the back.
I cannot reproach my team, far from it ... We have to congratulate Getafe, and we’ll get back on our feet for the game against Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday.
Getafe closed down very well, just like every team has been doing, we had good chances but their keeper played very well
We played a good game. I don’t think Getafe was better, but they won and we have to congratulate them. We knew that they were a team capable of defending really well.
I am focusing on the Getafe match and then the games after that. We will prepare for El Clasico when it arrives. It is not vital for us to be leaders ahead of that match and I am not obsessive about Real Madrid.
Getafe are a dangerous team, designed to be in the middle of the table ... We must pay close attention to details and not allow ourselves to lose points along the way. In this league everything is vital. We respect every opponent. All teams have strengths, some more than others, and if we are not at the...
We believe we can beat them. Barca are not invincible, they can be defeated. They lose few games, but draw many. They have already drawn with Real Sociedad, Valencia, Sevilla and Athletic this season. Getafe could be another draw, but again, I am convinced we can beat them.
