I know he wants to be out there but life is way more precious than football ... When football ends, you can still go on and have a productive life. What Ryan went through the last time he was there, to see him lose his spleen and to come to find out it was because of the Denver trip … if it were me, I w...
Hines Ward was very good at that ... You can tell he's a former quarterback.
We should be well prepared for the Denver Broncos
I think you can tell two things about a football team, a lot of times, if it's really a tough team, when your receivers block and your cornerbacks tackle ... Just looking at their receivers and the blocks that Hines Ward has gotten in his career, as a football lover, you have to like that. As a competit...
A hyperbaric chamber is a lot like training in Denver ... I'll be in there every day this week. ... They're expensive, but they're well worth the investment.
They did some good things to take me away ... It helped open up other areas, like Mike Wallace scoring. (Two linebackers) were messing with me in the slot, and it enabled Mike to get down the field against their Cover 2.
We'll get it right ... Would we like to close teams out? Yes, of course. But when teams are playing the Pittsburgh Steelers, we're the defending champions, and they're going to give us their best.
I tore mine the second game when we were up in Cleveland
Would we like to blow teams out? Of course ... But when teams are playing the Pittsburgh Steelers, the defending champions, they’re going to give their best.
They got loud and then part of the Lions fans tried to get louder than our fans so it just added extra stuff for the (Detroit) offense
We're Steeler nation ... Wherever we travel, we travel well. Playing in the Super Bowl here brought back a lot of memories. We had just as many fans as we did back then, so that's what we love about playing for this organization.
Those circumstances were totally different ... Millions of more people out on the field, a lot more credentials, but it was definitely a great experience. A great memory for me, playing the Super Bowl in Detroit. This week is nothing compared to the Super Bowl.

We drafted Rashard in the first round and he showcased tonight what he can do. Once Willie gets back, we've got a great 1-2 punch ... We showed a lot of teams in the NFL that if we continue to stay on the ground, we have a nice offense.
Together we got a lot of weapons out on the field ... I think today we showcased to a lot of teams in the NFL that offensively, if we continue to stay on the grind the way we do, we can have a nice offense.
The Super Bowl champions (being) 1-2 is not how we envisioned our season starting out ... We left a lot of plays on the field. If we score touchdowns in the first half, that's not even a ballgame. That's 24-0 or 24-3 (instead of 13-3).
We’re Super Bowl champions, and we’re starting 1-2, that’s not how we envisioned our season starting
Willie’s always hungry ... He wants to go out and put on a great performance. So far, he really hasn’t had a chance to display that, so I think he’s itching to come out for the divisional game at Cincinnati and have a great game. Hopefully, we can go out there and let him have another great day running ...
The second play of the game, the center (Justin Hartwig) steps on the guard's foot, and the guard (Chris Kemoeatu) falls down ... The guy the guard's supposed to block makes the play. We're not hitting the panic button. You're not going out at the top Week 1. Watching all the (NFL) games, nobody played ...
