If they are now twisting the facts to support their own doomsday theories, they are no better than Tony Blair and Alastair Campbell, who fabricated the 'dodgy dossier' of lies on which we were dragged into the disastrous Iraq war.
Tony Blair consistently denied to Parliament and public that the U.K. government was preparing for war in Iraq, yet these documents show that planning began as far back as 2002
Clearly the backdrop for this movie is the war. In this case, it’s the Iraq war, but it really could be any war that the United States has been involved with ... The perspective of the movie is from the people who live with the consequences of the decision to go to war. It’s very much a home front movie...
Yesterday was the day that his past caught up with him. His alliance with George Bush in the prosecution of the Iraq war was deeply unpopular with most EU countries.
It's fair to say there were differing opinions in Australia on the Iraq war
He doesn’t think of stopping the war in Iraq or Afghanistan. How can this man be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize? He should have received a Nobel war prize.
From the apex of the Cold War to the collapse -- the collapse! -- of the Soviet Union. From my opposition to the 1964 Civil Rights Act to my part in securing the funds for building the memorial to Martin Luther King Jr. From my support to the war in Vietnam to my opposition to President George W. Bush's...

I have written at length over the years about my opposition to Tony Blair and New Labour, arguing against the Iraq war, top-up fees, trident nuclear defence, lack of house building, the behaviour of MPs and much more. Standing for Parliament in opposition to New Labour is therefore the logical thing to ...

Laughing aloud was a matter of criticism because it was a time of war [the Iran-Iraq war] and revolution.
Whether taking on the CEOs of the financial services industry, supporting marriage equality, or voting against the Iraq war because he didn’t believe the Bush administration made the case to take military action, Mike Capuano has a proven record of standing up for progressive values and what he believes...
