The fact that we had three power plays and didn’t score and didn’t have a lot of chances, that probably turned the momentum of the game
I think with Andrei, I don’t know when he’ll be back ... If you look at (Sidney) Crosby, he practiced for a long time before coming back. I think it’s good for (Markov) to be involved in intense practices. We haven’t had a lot of intense practices because of the number of games we’ve had. Yesterday and ...
He’s having a good season in Hamilton.
We have to juggle because we’ve lost Pacioretty ... That line was going well, giving us some good minutes so we have to try to find a solution. We need more from our top guys, no matter what line they’re on. We have to elevate our play on this trip.
It's important to understand that whatever moment that Andrei is ready to play, he's still not going to be at 100% ... We need to remember that he has missed one; almost two years of hockey. It would be unfair to expect him to jump back into the lineup and immediately be performing at 100%.
He's a player that has good vision, is good without the puck ... Unfortunately he missed training camp this year, but he's a young player that we feel has a good upside and good potential.
We got to try and find some solution to get (offense) ... We probably need more from our top guys.
He's getting closer, but I don't know when he'll be back ... I think it's good for him to be involved in intense practice this week.
I don't know if there will be a possibility or not ... It's something that's going to be left up to him, but I think that it's good that he's practicing.
At the moment the only option we have is to use a defenceman up front, that’s who’s healthy at the moment
He’s been practicing with the team for the last couple of weeks and while I don’t have an exact date yet, I think I mentioned last week that I felt that this week would be a good test for him ... It’s a chance for him to have some good intense practices, do a lot of grunt work, a lot of competing, some ...
When you look at the parity in the league, it’s very important to be competitive ... If you fall behind early, getting a playoff spot can be a steep hill to climb.
I don’t know if Wednesday is going to be the day, but we’re getting closer
You all saw the play and I’m really disappointed for our players ... We just played nine games in 15 days and were playing against the best team in the league.(which had) no injuries and it’s disappointing we had to lose that way.
It's really disappointing it ended that way
Our power play tonight in the second period failed ... They got some shorthanded chances and turned the momentum around. We didn’t have player movement or puck movement and we didn’t have a great selection of shots.
He made some good saves but they scored on some tic-tac-toe plays and they showed why they’re one of the top offensive teams in the league ... They got more chances than we did.
He’s a tremendous player ... He keeps getting better year after year. Now he’s a leader on their team.
I think our power play in the second period failed ... It changed the momentum around.
I think he is a tremendous player ... I think he keeps getting better year after year. Now he has become a leader on this team.
Our power play gave them momentum
In the first period we weren't good ... They won more battles and were on the puck. They were more determined. After that we came back strong in the second, created several good chances, capitalized and persisted as we should have.
A good example last night was (P.K.) Subban’s penalty ... He was coming back and lost position on his man, and then (there was a tripping penalty). It’s a matter of paying attention to details and staying in position.
There’s lots of room for him to keep improving ... He’s a young player who plays pretty well away from the puck and has good skill. He just needs to get better at the give-and-go game, using his teammates and going to an opening.
