Sri Lanka Test series. Afridi was at his most restrained: that is he gambolled along at only a run a ball. He began in haywire fashion but then played responsibly, a straight six off Graeme Swann's offspin his most emphatic moment. Like Umar, he fell...
Cook or Pietersen to give England the satisfaction of some revenge. None of Pakistan's batsmen has responded to Finn’s 90mph pace, steep bounce and occasional inward movement. That is a rare combination. Only Bob Willis at his most manic has bowled...

Samit Patel belied critics of his physique to swoop superbly at mid-wicket and scoop up a looping chance one-handed millimetres from the turf to dismiss Umar. Much to the dismay of the crowd Afridi succumbed in the next over, bowled through the gate...

We know the cricket won't be as exciting as it was in England
I will play my natural game and be as aggressive as I usually am but it would be commonsense to think about what you say. Words aren't generally used on the field anyway . . . certainly not intelligent words. We're just going to concentrate on our cricket - everything else is in the past
We want to stay No 1 in the world. To do that, we're going to have to win in Dubai and in Sri Lanka and then in India at the end of the year
It's going to be a tough 'ask' for us. But the best teams in the world do win out here (in this part of the world)
We want to stay number one in the world. To do that, we’re going to have to win here and in Sri Lanka and then in India at the end of the year
I made my international debut in a one-day game and I really enjoy playing in them ... I guess the amount of them we play in a year is something that possibly could get looked at, but I really enjoy playing in all forms of cricket and hopefully I will continue to do so for a few years.
A lot has gone on in the last 12 months with these two teams so it is going to be an interesting one
