View Photo »The defense is not where it need to be ... We outrebounded obviously by a big number [50-32], and that shows the effort that we’re putting out there…but at the end of the day, we didn’t get it done.
Jamie Dixon and the Big East is something you can't pass up
We didn't finish ... In the second half, we finished a little better. We attacked it pretty well, maybe some more penetration out front would have been good for us, but we're still trying to get better in that area. It seemed like we were getting inside touches. We maybe took a few too many 3s, but for ...
We battled back, but you can't miss layups and free throws
I think there was some improvement this week
Rest assured, our guys are working hard as you saw tonight
You're always making adjustments
They're ranked where they are because of how deep they are, how experienced they are ... I thought we did some good things. I'm proud of how hard we played and what we did on the glass. The rebounding, especially, was a good showing by us. I thought we attacked the zone pretty well, but some missed layu...
They've got a lot of size
I think there were some good things
Right now we’ve hit a patch where we’re not playing good enough ... And we’ve got to get beyond the frustration and encourage each other and get stronger. To learn from our mistakes and go forward.
We don’t make excuses on who we don’t have ... just that we have to play with who we have.
You can just look at the numbers and make that decision on your own.
I liked how we played ... The second half, we had some challenges there given the foul situation and I think that really caught up to us. We did some really good things. I'm proud of how hard we played but we didn't get it done.
He's in a lot of pain, there's no question about it ... We just want to get all of the data and make sure everyone takes a look at it and sees it before we make any decisions or calls on that.
We don't play teams like them
That's why we play it ... It's great to be continuing the tradition, going back a long time before I was here. It's a great atmosphere, and it's a first class event.
Duquesne is hard to play against ... It's the way they play. They're unique. They overplay, they gamble. You have to get layups on the other end and you have to beat them on the boards, and we did that.
He's a very good 3-point shooter, catching and shooting
The percentages aren't what we need them to be
Starting gets talked about a little bit more, but it's about minutes and who's playing well. I always felt we'd have two very productive guys at that spot.
Either way, they're both going to play
We had some good performances by our bench ... That was great to see.
I was really happy about how we played, especially in the first half ... I wish we could have finished a little better, but we knew Robert Morris was going to battle. That is what they do, they play hard and get after it no matter the score.
It was a good win and a good performance from our bench ... If you look at our roster, there’s a lot more underclassmen than upperclassmen. We don’t focus on that, but realize it's an opportunity to improve.
