Anyone in the world that plays with Jarome Iginla will find chemistry
I've been blessed to play a long time and some success and have a lot of fun ... I'm still having a lot of fun and I still believe I have a lot of game left. It was just a tough stretch and I believe I'm coming out of it.
Jarome Iginla has always been a good two-way player. Why, all of a sudden, is there any question of him not being able to play both ends of the rink?
It's just the way it works, the way media is
But our line especially (the former top unit with LW Alex Tanguay and RW Jarome Iginla) hasn't scored much. All three of us can play a lot better. Obviously, me or my line hasn't been playing good recently, so it's good to switch up.
We're just working on two in a row. Not look at the big picture, not look how many teams are above us or whatever ... We've just got to start with two in a row. Pretty much every team has had a string and put three, four, five wins together. We haven't yet this year so we believe ours is coming.
Jarome Iginla and leadership and the passion he brings has been inspiring for me.
Everybody responded, nobody's happy where we're at in the standings, nobody's giving up ... It's a boost that we need.
I was fortunate to be able to score on the same shift that someone was yelling at me the whole time, so it was one of those fun moments where, I don’t know, I think I gave him a wink or something and he didn’t like it
Nobody's happy with where we're at in the standings, but nobody's giving up ... The Wild have had a great first 20 games and it feels good to come in here and beat them when they're playing well.
Someone was saying something to me the whole shift ... and I was fortunate to be able to score on the same shift. It was kind of one of those fun moments where I think I gave 'em a wink or something and they didn't like it. No hard feelings; it's all part of the game.
People think it’s over after 22 games, and we don’t believe it is ... So this is definitely a big boost, to be able to break out goals against this team.
He just kept the puck out
You can’t give these guys a two-man power-play with 8 minutes to go
I do know that you have to be good on both sides of it, but I still think that our team will need some offensive production
I don't think that's a fair comparison
As far as my game, this has been a tough stretch. But I'm going to remain positive. I don't think it's helpful . . . to feel sorry for myself or get too frustrated or get negative.
I don't think the situations are quite similar
If you look at this year, we're a couple of games under .500, but we've pretty much been pretty good against the better teams and the teams that we feel their records aren't as good, we haven't had that same intensity and work ethic as a group ... That's something that we're addressing.
Brent definitely tore a strip off of us and it hit home ... It's something that, in the game against Chicago we worked very hard and last game we didn't work nearly as hard as that – especially in the first period. And the first period ended up being the difference in the game.
