We had some big road wins (at Dallas and St. Louis last week), and we started to play a little more disciplined and tighter defensively
He’s become a very effective player. He’s really matured. He can play on a checking line, or he can go like he is now (on the Flames’ No. 1 unit with Jarome Iginla and Craig Conroy), and play on the top line and still be effective, because he’s very dependable from the red line back.
It's really exciting to play against the top lines ... It's a little nerve-racking going against (Calgary's) Jarome Iginla and Kopitar, but it's fun, too. You want to solidify yourself in the lineup because there's always someone pushing you.
I think if you're going to a team built around the defense and goaltending, one of the best goalies in the League (Miikka Kiprusoff), and then you have Jarome Iginla, who is one of the top offensive guys in the League, and a great leader, so you know, it's an exciting place to play
