Ottawa seems to have a ton of chemistry. And Jason Spezza is playing really well (19 goals, 28 assists for 47 pts). We have to make sure we backcheck and give him as little time as possible. We worked hard. I don’t think we had a letdown. They played well ... They didn’t give us much and we didn’t do enough to generate our own chances. I think we were ready.
Jason Spezza’s been very consistent and playing like the player he can be, and it’s shown also in the play of Milan Michalek, who was one of my favourite players in San Jose
It’s a difficult game for sure. We’ve been on the road and then we’re heading on the road again ... You’ve got to take care of your business. We’ve got to make sure you focus.
Steph’s a young player and it’s a hard league to learn in and real hard if you’re playing against the second line people he’s playing against. It’s growing pains for Steph.. We’re trying to put him in a situation to have success, as opposed to failing. (Friday) was a hard night for Zack Smith and Jason ...
We're just going to be shortsighted
I've got a Romo one at home, and I love Miles Austin
It would be a huge honour
We know they’re a team that plays similar to us ... They’re a physical team and they’re playing well. We know coming into this rink that the crowd will be into it. We’re excited to play here tonight.
It's been a while since I scored, they usually come in bunches for me ... It was nice to get my 200th out of the way and it's obviously a big accomplishment, something to be proud of.
I was just excited to score ... I actually didn't even think about it at the time that it was 200 until after somebody mentioned it. I thought about it a few games ago and it's been so long since I've scored that you lose track of that kind of stuff.
Obviously, it was nice to score ... I've been struggling to put the puck in the net the past few games and it felt good to get on the board.
He played well ... He was moving his feet. You could tell he was excited to be here.
It's been a while since I scored
They're an elite team in the league and I thought we deserved a better fate tonight ... We had some quality scoring chances and at the end of a real tough road trip we played a real good hockey game.
We’ve got to get a little bit more of a shooter’s mentality, make sure we have a body in front of the net
I’m sure he already voted
It’s been theme of the last three wins
I don’t feel old, but it definitely puts into perspective that I’ve been in the league for a little while ... He’s an exciting player and a good player. It’s a huge compliment coming from a guy like that.
