View Photo »He's one of the top guys in the NFL right now ... He's playing some of the best ball, probably, in his career.
but obviously he’s had some other times when you could say he’s played like a rookie or he played like other quarterbacks. I mean, Jay Cutler (of the Bears) threw five picks the other night. Things like that are going to happen. This guy is a great competitor, I think he can make all the throws, a very ...
Brett had a good grasp of that system, was comfortable with the coaches there, and it was the same system he had in Green Bay ... So there are certain cases where you can stick a guy in there and make it happen. But this system is new to a lot of guys here, including myself. [And] it’s more than just th...
What's amazing to me is, here we go again with Jay Cutler ... He came in and he was going to be the franchise quarterback and lead the Bears. I heard some people say they were going to the Super Bowl this year. There was a lot of Cutler-mania going on in the preseason and all that. And here we are, back...
I wanted to get my own diabetic situation in order before I ventured out and started helping people ... Now I feel really good about it and we?re starting to get out there a lot more. It?s not going away. It is something that I go to sleep with and wake up with every day. It?s a lifestyle at this point.

We're still having some miscues ... We're still having some things happen. I'm new to the offense. We've got some new young guys out there. The offensive line, we kind of stuck some guys in there. It doesn't happen overnight. Offenses in Denver took two, three years for us to all get together. It's goin...
The Chicago Bears acquired disgruntled Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler in a trade on Thursday afternoon, giving up quarterback Kyle Orton and first-round picks in 2009 (18th overall) and 2010, along with a third-round pick (84th overall) in 2009 to do it.
It doesn't happen overnight ... In Denver, it took two-to-three years for us to get it together.
The running game, we talk a lot about ... it's improving ... We got some production from it. We still need to take another step with it. But we are still committed to it by the number of rushes that we have. I really like the way we kept the balance with the run and the pass. Of course, Jay Cutler (21 o...
Last year when I was in Denver, we didn't really get that much pressure
One game into the Jay Cutler era the Bears have discovered their guy is the Lon Chaney of NFL quarterbacks, a Man of a Thousand Faces
Any given week, anybody can beat anybody, especially in the NFL ... Everyone's got talent. The Cleveland Browns get paid to play Football, too. We can't take this for granted. ... We need to get back on track.
We did what we felt we were going to have to do to change things up ... We wanted to be as disruptive as we could in terms of timing. You just want to try to keep the quarterback out of rhythm, especially a guy like Jay Cutler.

President Obama's speech will stress the importance of improving the running game, minimizing late-game breakdowns in the defensive secondary, and most importantly, reforming quarterback Jay Cutler's tendency to force throws into coverage instead of checking down to his second and third options in the p...
I love Rob Ryan. I think he's always liked and respected me ... He's a great coach. You can just see the energy he brings on the sidelines to those guys. I've always enjoyed competing against him. I think he's one of the best in football. It's fun. He brings an energy level and fun level to football tha...
I think it humbles you a little bit ... It brings you back down and you realize that you can’t take any week for granted. Anybody in the NFL can beat you at any time. It’s a long season, though. We’ve got a lot of games ahead of us.
I didn't do it that much in Denver
I wasn't really thinking that much ... I wanted to get it to [Desmond Clark], but the corner kept dropping. I didn't really have a lot of options. When we get down there, we've got to take advantage of those opportunities. We've got to get the ball in the end zone. We're going to do whatever it takes.
He?s got to trust me, and I?ve got to trust him to put us in the right situation, and get us the right call ... because we can?t check out of everything like in Seattle. Sometimes the defense is going to have (the right) call for the play, and I?ve just got to manage it. Sometimes we have a pretty good ...
It's hard as a rookie to go in there ... It's extremely hard. I was lucky enough to sit 11 games and then get a start. I can't imagine the amount of pressure [Stafford] is under. It's hard to go straight from college to a training camp and then start as an NFL quarterback.
I think probably the city of Chicago is disappointed I'm disappointed ... Ninety people in that locker room are disappointed; coaches and players. So it's tough. But we've got 15 more games to play. There's a lot of football left. This team I think ultimately in the end we're going to overcome this one ...
