I've been fortunate to work with really great race car drivers ... I worked with Jeff Gordon in the 24 car. I've seen what Jeff can do with a race car, and I've got a lot of respect for what Jeff can do.

Sunday morning when they line up and start is when I'll wear out my shoes going back and forth down pit road because I can't stand still ... We think we've got a really good shot at closing the deal, but we could have the motor problem like Jeff (Gordon) did (at Phoenix) in the first 10 laps, and then we're done. So I'll rest better Sunday night, hopefully.
I know last week when Jeff [Gordon's] engine blew, Edwards was wishing that ours would blow, too
If anybody believes that Jeff Gordon forgot how to drive, they've lost their mind
I really respect and admire Felipe as a race car driver, and this is such a great opportunity to race against some of the best drivers in the world while benefiting a worthwhile charity ... I don't drive karts that often — although we do have a Jeff Gordon Foundation go-kart event each year — and I think the last time I drove one competitively was when I was 11 or 12 years old. I don't know what to expect, but I'm sure it will be a fun experience.
That is last week. We are at one of our better tracks. When we look at the reality of things, we still have a great points lead I'm still in attack mode. Certainly, with a 106-point lead, I don't need to take as much risk and there is a little bit of a different feel to it than what I had chasing Jeff (Gordon) last year.
I haven't the slightest idea what it was, if it was a tire or a mechanical piece of the car ... Luckily it happened on the backstretch and I had time to lean into the impact and absorb some of it because it was a really good, hard hit.
