I'm not a big name, like Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. I'm not flashy. That's good, I'm happy where we are.

As Jeff travels around the state, he is talking about the war, the economy and energy costs ... And Gordon Smith wants to talk about furniture.
Jeff [Gordon] and I went over to [the] Canary Islands in 2002 and won the event with Colin Edwards from Superbikes. As long as they want me back, I'm in.
Racing is more competitive than ever before, but there are a few drivers coming up through the ranks that stand a real chance of winning multiple championships ... Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson are part of an awesome organization (at Hendrick Motorsports) and they have tons of talent. They'll be championship contenders for years to come. It would take a career of near-perfect seasons to win seven championships, but a young driver who gets drafted into a top-tier team could be a threat.
I think Tony needs to have guys he knows that have won races before – that helps the team ... When you’ve won, you have certain ideas for what you need at certain race tracks. That’s a good thing with Ryan and Tony, they both have those feelings to be able to help each other – help the team – and make things better quicker over there. Those two as teammates is no different than Jimmie (Johnson) and Jeff (Gordon) as teammates.
With this car, it is so tough to have it right all the time ... I think it speaks to what [Kyle Busch] has done and even [Edwards] on the stretches they've been on. It's really tough to maintain whatever it is with this car. As time goes on, we're all going to be smarter and do a better job at it, but, in general, no, it doesn't puzzle me too much that Jeff has had the ups and downs. This car will drive you batty.
You feel like you've got the team capable of doing well and it's always frustrating ... It's just how you show it. I feel like if I go stomping my feet and throwing things around here, it doesn't make me run good.
